Uematsu’s legacy can never be erased, but Soken is absolutely building his own empire, and he deserves it. If Soken officially took over as THE Final Fantasy Composer (which he seems firmly positioned to do at this point), I wouldn’t even be mad about it.

Brute justice is one of my favorites because it’s such a loving homage to the super robot and tokusatsu genres. Blaring trumpets and children shouting “transform” gives it a wonderful Showa era vibe
