Going to the other end of it, if you could somehow turn the last gear (you can’t, not enough force in the universe even if the machine didn’t explode first) so it was making one turn an hour, the tenth to last gear would be exceeding the speed of light before you even considered the other 90 gears!

Yes, but just think of the torque.

Can’t go wrong with the Ridge. It’s the best vehicle for people that want a truck but don’t really need one. It’s the closest thing to an “ute”.

If this was only Deere vs Farmers, I would be right there with you.

I genuinely don’t understand the farming community. They seem to vote most commonly for candidates that are the farthest from their own best interests.

I think you’re framing this irresponsibly. It’s more like he got the job, was like hey something’s up, talked to the correct authorities and got the company to fix it, and now that it’s obviously awkward he’s going to go get a new job.

Why do you think it is better to be governed by Westminster instead of Brussels?

Companies build things where it makes the most economic sense. If it becomes more costly to import parts they will do more value add work outside of the U.K. and keep just enough work there to keep the perception that Bentley is British.

I’m cool with removing CAFE regs for sure. I do think we need some kind of way to encourage more efficient vehicles just as we need regulation to encourage clean burning vehicles. Unfortunately the consumer never buys a product with the future of their air quality or environment in mind, and they certainly aren’t

All the NASCAR fans will blame the Democrats for the change.

2nd Gear: I’m gonna guess Ghosn’s response is something like this:

Seconded. I mean, this is Jalop so the anti-capitalism drum needs to be beaten whenever there is a chance, but sometimes doing so in a blind union rage without considering any other angles makes you look silly.

Yes, this quote is pathetic if you assume that this man’s one and only feeling about COVID-19 is that he

I kid. David is my absolute favorite writer around here. His posts are often him doing cool stuff and telling us about it. It’s like a friend telling me, “OK, you’re not going to believe this shit...”

How about the 5.3 LS powered Buick Rainier?

Had I not looked at the author, I would’ve legit thought someone stole one of David’s Jeeps.

Weird. It’s like you can buy old technology for less than new technology.

I wouldn’t say that. I drove a rental one and it was fine. Drove and handled well over the 1200 miles I put on it in a week. Very comfortable highway cruiser. Interior was a little bland, but oh well. Not everything is going to be an art installation. It’s solid at being a big comfy car that just works.

None of the services and resources you listed are universal, and become increasingly scarce once away from densely populated urban areas.

Rather bland compared with the DS9 concept promised a few years ago

The National Safety Council released figures last week that show that, for the second year running, the United States has seen a decrease in traffic deaths. A small decrease, yes, but a decrease nonetheless. In 2019, there were 38,800 deaths.
