I bought a brand new 2004 Evo when I was 23. There were A LOT of us who were starting out in our careers, but the most important thing to us was getting an Evo or STI, so all our disposable income went into the payments and insurance to get one. You could always tell these cars too, because they’d be running Dunlops

I almost bought one too, but “upgraded” to a GSR because I wanted a blue one. Sigh.

It’s a super rare RS model. They came without wings.

Turns out it’s a tribute to a developer’s dearly departed doggo.

I’d much rather have full electric or full ICE. Hybrids have too many compromises IMO. I daily’ed a manual transmission “sports hybrid” for two years, and having it run out of electricity and run only on it’s underpowered gas engine when I needed it most seemed to be the way every spirited drive ended up.

When I was in college, there was a guy with a 911 who’d do this in the parking structure all the time. Or maybe it was an air-cooled Beetle. Anyway, it would always be sitting there with the rear end sticking up in the air while he would carry the engine into his dorm to work on it.

Most people laying out that amount of cash for a new car have no intention on doing any wrenching on it for quite sometime, hopefully ever.

And here I thought that guardrails were the R32 GTR’s only natural predator.

That’s what I’ve been hearing too. I hope if it comes it sells well enough to bring the RS4 avant over, because while an RS4 could slot into my budget, an RS6 would be a bit tougher to justify.

This is fantastic. I’ve only recently started liking Audis after my wife got hers.

“For this amount of $/time, wonder why he didn’t go with an RS?”

People used to say that these weren’t true Supras either. I think for many people, the only “true” Supras are JZA80's.

*Starts envisioning A90 Supra 7M-GTE swaps while cackling maniacally.

“and is faster than the 86/BRZ in the 320i even though it weighs nearly 700lbs more.”

It’s such an odd piece, making it a contrasting color makes it look intentional. Thank you for doing the photoshop.

I have a feeling that the lower-priced 4-cylinder Supra will slot more in line with most BRZ buyers. 86 twin buyers are across the spectrum in terms of income. Some are stretching their budgets to get one, others could have purchased a Porsche 718 instead. When I wear out my ‘18 BRZ tS, I’d definitely consider the

Pretty sure 4 out of 5 of those are actual GTscapes in Gran Turismo.

I’ve got a degree in automotive design, am a design director, and have taught at the top design school in the US, so I may be able to shed some light on why this was done......

Beat me to it.

The side vent extending into a horizontal design element is very A70 Supra.
