did you read my comment at all before deciding you disagreed? Because I don't disagree with what you wrote at all, and in fact said I'm just glad they're making it work, however that might happen, and even offered up a possibility as to how it could be done without nudity. You're tilting at windmills here.

I would've been happy to hear that they'd found a way to shoot it artfully that didn't require actual nudity—for instance, I can imagine that scene shot from over the actress's bare shoulder, focusing on the reactions of the crowd, her breathing, etc. really being from her perspective, while she was actually wearing

oh, I'm not actually transgendered. I just meant in a broad way, for many people getting our hormones to balance out right is a lifelong struggle and I appreciate the people dedicated to it :) I hadn't previously thought about the role of endocrinology in transgender care, so I'm learning new things today!

I just want to thank you for what you do. My current endocrinologist is awesome, and is making me realize what an amazing difference a good one can make, so I'm now imagining you making people this happy all the time.

Amanda Seyfried falls into an unfortunate category of performers for me: the first time I saw her was in Mean Girls, and she played stupid so, so well that I cannot look at her in anything without thinking she and every character she plays are complete morons. Also in this category is the girl who played the special

I haven't actively decided that I'm leaving but I've definitely noticed that I've gone down from multiple visits per day to a visit every couple days since I've been demoted. Hard to get it up to care when you're second-class.

There should be an "abuse of power" sort of charge to tack on to any violation like this, because you're right in addition to the individual damage done they are doing damage to the whole way law and order works in our society.

I agree with that in a broader context, but I don't think anyone should look down on their friends. If you look down on them, then your keeping them around seems very unsavory, like they are there to be laughed at and disrespected. There may be a very good reason why you don't respect them, and that's valid, but cut

I think you make a great point—there are the hateful racists, and the ignorant racists. Ignorance can be cured 1000x more easily than outright hate.

I really thought that you were going to say that you were replacing any rape gif you found with a kitten. I could really get behind that!

That would be excellent. I've been around here for years now as well, and am obviously still in the greys. I guess it's effective, because I definitely do feel less inclined to post when I know that nobody will read it.

I suspect she's getting attacked by people who've never asked a genuine question in their lives, preferring to only ask leading questions.

"so no one gets butt hurt"

Well, if you typed something inflammatory, and say the language in it set off the alert and it popped up saying, "are you sure you want to post this?" if you really believed the person deserved it, you'd probably click "Yes, let 'em have it!" not, "No, you're right. I'll detach from the computer now."*

They totally can just be assholes sometimes. I mean, my cat woke me up in the middle of the night last night by biting my calf. WTF??? But, the thing is, when she's being an asshole, I know I have to keep relatively calm, pick her up and deposit her off the bed, and not engage further. And guess what? half an hour

and I would bite and claw the thing hitting me... The point is that it's a two way street and this cats behavior is not the result of some demonic possession but rather the environment it inhabits, which includes getting hit.

THIS. I could totally see my cat getting like that if treated badly. We like to play a little rough, but she lets me know when she's over it pretty clearly, and it looks a lot like the very beginning of this video (difference being, I then remove myself and give her a toy to attack, and five minutes later she comes

Read some of the other threads in response to this article—people are talking about fathers being sentenced to *months* in jail based on a decade of molestation, to be served only on weekends so that it doesn't interfere with their jobs. I'm appalled broadly how little time is spent in jail by molesters of both

That's my first instinct here, too. In 3 years will the kid even be grown, or will she get custody again when she's out? Because that's one sure way to traumatize the kid all over again. And reading the other responses to your comment, I can't BELIEVE the light sentencing given to so many people who molest their kids.

Like many behaviors, it's as good as the results you get from it. If it just helps you clear your head and gives you something productive to focus an addictive personality on, then it's good. If you pursue it to a point of injury, overboard weight loss, lack of ability to focus on other things you need to in life,
