As a keeper of all-things this article made me rummage through my box of old tech; turns out I still have my MuVo NX! Dropped a battery in it and I was treated to a myriad of oldies-but-goodies. I also discovered my SanDisk Clip, another *excellent* portable MP3 player.

I suspect showing Master Sinube wasn’t *just* for nostalia’s sake. Here’s my take...and yes I’ve watched Clone Wars and Rebels and most everything else:

My in-laws got me those Ozero Winter Gloves, and they’re really great. I’ve noticed my fingertips tend to get wet when I make too many snowballs, but I also don’t get much snow where I live. Bonus is that they’re plenty adept at letting me fiddle with dials and settings on my camera (Fujifilm X-T3).

Clever. We’ve been doing someting like this for years with bento boxes, but I love the option to have custom partitions with the moveable dividers. Thanks for the tip!

We had something similar set up in high school AP Calculus where a group of us would get together to study before a big exam with a fellow student who had no business being with us dullards. When asked he said that it was a great way for him to study because it gave him an opportunity to go over the material from a

I’m obviously missing something simple. Is there a code that needs to be applied? It’s showing up as $34.88 when clicking through.

My wife set something like this up in a small shed in our backyard with a similar tension-based mount and an old street bike, and she loves it...except for the fact that in the early, pre-dawn morning it’s still really cold until she warms up. She props up her tablet, puts in her earbuds and catches up on Netflix

I’ll be honest: For us spring was a waste. The “assignments” amounted to, at most, an hour a day, and they met via Zoom once a week for 30 mins. On top of that she’s in a language immersion program so the workload had to be split evenly between the two languages, not in addition to. We tried to supplement with

I love my Fujifilm X-T3 + 18-55mm kit lens combo. After using Canon for decades, I recently switched and am only upset that I didn’t switch sooner. I’m a dad so I document my 9-year old’s adventures and it keeps up nicely.

This is a solid approach. Ours is a slight variation - our daughter gets an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon - but the end result is similar: She has to manage her time. If she wants to watch videos, she knows she’ll have less time to play games or chat with friends, etc. Then on Friday [or Saturday]

I enjoyed this as a popcorn flick, and yeah, it definitely felt like two different movies that had a confusing / frustrating crisis of identity, BUT what I do love about this movie is John Powell’s score. The final two tracks, “Death and Transfiguration” and “The Moon and the Superhero” are *still* on regular

I experienced something similar with my daughter and one of her summer camps. While the threat wasn’t directed at her, she had overheard it and was encouraged by the other kids to “keep quiet” - they even made her pinky promise. She knew that their request was ridiculous - she always tells me that she doesn’t believe

I’ve been using Inoreader since Pulse was bought by LinkedIn [and, IMO, completely borked its experience]. I’m sure there are other fabulous services out there, but Inoreader serves me just fine with its high-contrast dark mode, multiple layout viewing options, multiple sort-by, reading stats and

I used to buy one of each color [that I like], but have adopted a variation of this - buy 5 of each *style* except in the same color. Yup - I’m that guy at work who wears short-sleeved v-neck gray cotton tees during the summer, and then long-sleeved v-neck gray cotton tees during the winter. ::laugh::

I love my little SanDisk Clip (Sports+ version). It’s only 16 GB, but I don’t need my *entire* music library with me when I’m climbing or out and about, so this works great for me...plus it has an FM tuner. I love it mostly because of its Bluetooth connectivity for my headphones and earbuds, and so I can stuff this in

My daughter has used rain sounds for years to fall asleep, and luckily we just ask Google “What does rain sound like?” and it loops a constant stream of rain (without thunder or music) all night long.

I just want a repellent that works. My family just returned from a backpacking trip through a part of the Willamette National Forest, and the buggers were ferocious. Luckily my daughter either wasn’t bitten or isn’t allergic, but my bites swell up like grapefruits - this was *after* treating my clothes and applying

We’ll need to try the keyboard. We’ve taken to leaving out sheets of blank newsprint for our 19+ year old “kitten” - she still loves to sit and claw at them.

Conceptually this idea sounds great, but it definitely doesn’t feel great when your child is the victim of the physical aspects of “letting kids fight”. Teaching her to hit back doesn’t seem like the correct solution just so that the [initial] hitter can learn about empathy.
