I’m not in the market for one so I really don’t care what they sell for per se. What I will say is that the market will determine what these cars (like everything else) will sell for. We do after-all, live in the world where people in forums bemoan the $1000+ price point of current generation iPhones while buying

Meh, I just bought a new M3 at triple net to replace last year’s M3 I bought at triple net which replaced the previous years M3 bought at triple net. Didn’t spend a minute at a dealership and had the cars and paperwork delivered to my house so when you get on that level, let’s talk. Until then, know that you’re more

None of those things matter to someone who wants an M2.  The Supra will always be a Toyota and the M2 will always be a BMW.

Yeah, that’s not how it works at all. The high demand cars that get marked up are never high volume. The reason they can command mark ups in the first place is that there isn’t a lot of supply. Allocation isn’t effected AT. ALL.

Depends.  Salespeople generally get a percentage of profit so their commission would be higher on marked-up cars but some dealers pay flat commission on high demand marked up cars so the sales people do just as much work but don’t participate in the profit.

None actually.

And no one’s forcing you to buy cars...🤷🏽‍♂️

Nah, no triggers here just facts yo

Who said anything about pity? You know why dealers mark desirable cars up as high as they can? 1) because they can and 2) to make up for all the customers who buckle and dime them for everything they can get.

Yeah, dealers are assholes for keeping the lights on, employing on average ~100 people, stocking several million dollars worth of parts so that that one spring you need that one time, is available for you to walk in and complain about their making $3 profit on, having millions of dollars worth of inventory for you to

Not true, the bizarro colors are always the first to go until the second or third allocation when people have seen them everywhere. Dealerships I worked at often tarted them up with shiny wheels and such, marked them up and sold them as “special editions” (think “Aztec Gold = Sonoran Edition” with an addendum as

“Volkswagen Urus?”🤔

Because people always think their cars are worth more than they are and there’s always someone who believes them🤷🏽‍♂️

No one buying a new Land Cruiser, is taking it off-road.

To you but the person buying a new Land Cruiser likely doesn’t even know what a Ford Flex IS....

Because they’ll sell every one they build, many OVER MSRP.

There may not be more factory support for 2018’s but dealers are still more motivated as they lose flooring support and allocation for 2020 models starts to suffer for every ‘18 still in stock.  They’ll take triple net losers and go deep on trades (where they’ll have a possibility of mitigating losses)

Nah, no braggadocio here, I was scared AF.... engine block absorbed the rounds, the gunner sucked, we un-assed the Hummer, took cover and sent him to his virgins...

Yup, I worked for UAG in scottsdale and has a dozen “very well qualified” customers who ALWAYS had multiple cars on order from our various brands, never did more than “take delivery” of cars specc’d the way we wanted them, who perpetually drove pretty much whatever they wanted on dealer plates and this, we always had

He most CERTAINLY didn’t secure his back blast area before engaging....
