I haven't listened to today's episode yet, but I've noticed a trend lately of a guest bringing a bit or a premise to the table and Scott not really picking up on it.

These pictures are my first time seeing the garage, and of course it looks nothing like what I pictured. (I don't know what I pictured)

Yeah, I really wish it were longer. With all the effort that went into even setting this up and all the secret service outside, you'd think they could have carved out at least another half hour. Oh well.

I disagree slightly with the WTF review, in that I thought policy talk was a pretty heavy part of the conversation. I really enjoyed the entire thing though and I agree that the best parts were the more personal moments, especially towards the end.

BRING BACK SAWBUCK GAMER!

To reiterate, he's still really, really funny when he does it. But I think he shines far more on something without a traditional structure like CBB or in short scenes like on I4H. Doing actual Longform Improv with a capital L and a capital I requires much more attention to the actual nuts and bolts of improv, in my

I really, really wish the interviews were longer. Mainly because Paul is sooooo good at it, and it's a crime that they're only about 15 minutes out of a 75-90 minute show. But also because I feel really bad for the guest that they have to come all the way to the studio just for a very brief interview and then have to

Glad someone else posted about this. I'm sure it helps that I have a similar love of chain restaurants, but I've enjoyed every episode of this so far. Not only is the subject matter right up my alley, but Wiger and Mitchell have been shockingly natural hosts right out of the gate.

You're supposed to lock the door though. Like, one person at a time.

I listened to the first episode, and it was ok, not great. I love This American Life and generally even enjoy Radiolab, but a little of their "finding deep meaning in nothing" technique goes a long way. Alums of those shows like the people behind Invisibilia or Mystery Show seem to have learned all the wrong lessons.

I think it's because this site hasn't really taken music coverage seriously in years, so the readership tends to only know about famous bands, and they feel alienated on the rare occasions there's a post about anyone even slightly obscure. (Quintron and Miss Pussycat aren't even THAT obscure, by the way)

I agree with whoever posted here a few weeks ago that improv is an actual art form and is more than just funny people getting together and making stuff up. Words can't describe how much I love PFT, but his choices tend to send every scene completely off the rails. It's mainly just the interviews (and his likable

I actually think the "omg prepare to feel the wrath of Doug Benson!!!" shit is way overblown. Back in the day he used to lash out at people occasionally (he's only human), but 95% of his posts have been perfectly polite and cordial and fine. He's even gone out of his way to post about how much he likes Podmass once or

Thanks for mentioning their early EPs. I liked Crazy For You ok, but nothing of theirs I've heard has been better than those first few under-the-radar releases. I wish more fans knew about them.

I still like the show and listen to nearly all of them, but it seemed to get a lot less consistently great right around the early 30s or so. I don't know if it's because they quickly exhausted all the most batshit stories they had, if they decided to focus too heavily on "outrage" type stories, or if the novelty just

I can confirm that the above two posts combined are pretty much all the best ones. I would also add 58 - Lenny Dykstra and 67- Bummer and Lazarus.

I think there's a difference between discussing a show openly amongst other fans on a third-party site like this, and what you say on a show's official forum/comments section/whatever. I think on an official site it's on you to be more polite and respectful of the people that work on the show and not come off as an

One of them is clearly Engineer Brett/Stard, so it's probably mostly employees.

I'm online right now!
