No hate! Criticize because you love.
Aw, that's unfair. I thought her intro/eulogy was incredibly touching and heartfelt. I can't even imagine how hard that must have been for her to do. Howard and Stard's tribute was more low-key, but they weren't as close to Harris as Kulap was and they also had the luxury of a couple extra days to process what had…
This, for sure. If you asked which of the hosts was more socially awkward almost everyone would say Howard, but Kulap doesn't seem to have a very good grasp on how to engage the guests or make them feel like they haven't walked into a very confusing and insidery show.

I've sampled pretty much all of them at one time or another, but none of them really did anything for me. I listen to I Was There Too if I know the movie, and that's about it. I agree that their website is a mess.
I feel like Who Charted has gone through boring patches for years now. It really requires either a stellar guest or Howard to be in truly rare form (or preferably both), otherwise they just kind of blandly go through the charts with minimal riffing or fun. I know Kulap has her fans and her job as "chart keeper" is…
Flophouse is a good show. Haven't heard their ad yet, but it can't be worse than that awful, awful, AWFUL phone sex parody ad for Jordan Jesse Go. I couldn't fast-forward that one fast enough.
I share the Parham/St. Clair/Mantzoukas love. As a fairly casual CBB fan who skips the Wompler episodes due to not being in on the elaborate backstory, I was hoping this would be more of a fresh start. Oh well.
Yeah, I have to think that there's no way a one-sided podcast, produced and (presumably) hosted by amateurs will be worth listening to.

I'm not into Marvel, but if this is a movie I hope it's not CGI. If there's anyone currently in a position to jump-start traditional animation and prove it's still viable, it's Marvel.
Come on man, there's gotta be more to that story! I'm on pills here.
I was at that show too. The first half of the show was great, although I definitely remember a little slurring and some swaying— Nothing that really affected his performance though. But then during the second half I remember him lying flat on his back and delivering the rest of his jokes while staring at the ceiling.…
"Some of these are fairly well-known stories, like Duran Duran being the name of the villain in the film Barbarella"
I haven't started the show yet (I've been meaning to), but I have to admit that almost immediately going into a different movie for another year is a HUGE turnoff for me. I think the artistic choice would have been to end the show after the first year. Maybe take a few months off and then come back with a different…
This is fantastic. Longer-form Sean O'Neal projects are so rare, but they're usually among the best things on this site. I'd love to see them more often!
I thought it was sweet how genuinely surprised she seemed that the interviewer had seen both Punch Drunk Love and Safety Not Guaranteed.
I guess this means that Just For Laughs is permanently done in Chicago. I'm glad The Onion is doing what they can to fill the void, but it saddens me that we no longer have anything on par with Moontower, Bridgetown, SF Sketchfest, etc.
Yeah, I feel like Tom needs to know that it's ok to do a show where he discusses all this stuff openly without any pressure to be funny, and that his fans would support him even if he doesn't do the typical "Best Show" format.
