Yeah, the audience was perfectly fine. Her simply saying the audience was bad almost immediately after walking out doesn't automatically make it true.

Can't. Live in Chicago. The AV Club needs to do more events here, goddammit!
They artificially hold back the video for like 10 days because they don't want it to cut into the listening numbers or something. …Even though Youtube also provides a viewer count. I don't know, but I think it'll go up on Sunday or Monday.
"As someone who picks and chooses which episode to listen to depending on the guest but never skips a Hostful and looks very much forward to them…"
@avclub-881e6ef49e144ba881efcd79350192e4:disqus Definitely my first choice by a wide margin.
I wish they would get Rory Scovel, Paul F. Tompkins, or Pete Holmes to be on the show. I'll bet any one of them would kill it.
Yeah, if anything I think Mark was considered the most difficult at the time.
For some reason, one of the funniest moments of the series for me is when Mr. Brown is trying to give his presentation and Michael is unable to sit down and concede the floor or stop awkwardly interrupting.
Ironically, you completely failed to notice that people did notice.
It sounded like they recorded that episode a few weeks in advance, so I'm thinking maybe it was taped on some day/time they don't normally do it, as a second episode for the week, and that's why Amy was available. Either way, more weird scheduling please!
Consider this my bi-annual plea for Upright Citizens Brigade coverage. KitH, Mr. Show, The State, Human Giant, etc were all great, but no sketch show was funnier or more brilliant than UCB.
Mmmm, ribs sound good today.
Try to see Burn if you can find it. It's a small documentary that came out last year about the Detroit fire department.

Same. It kept saying "all tickets are currently in carts, but keep trying" or something, and I kept trying, and I got lucky. Yay!
I love this feature so, so much.
So you're saying 95% of the population is undateable?
I only wish that the opening segment with Norm and Adam were longer, and depending on the guest, I probably wouldn't mind if that was the entire episode. Those jerks at VPN seem to insist on very tight scheduling for reasons I don't fully understand.
Also, WHAT HAPPENED TO JUDGE JOHN HODGMAN? Has it been dropped? I feel like they've had a strong run lately, particularly the Tom Scharpling episode last week. Nothing against Jesse, but he should be made the permanent bailiff immediately.
