They already did it in 369, so I wasn't really expecting it again.

That Sanz/Schwartz/Lapkus episode of improv4humans was pretty weird. I normally like Sanz a lot, but he clearly seemed to be fucked up on something that heavily impeded his ability to improvise. It's a testament to the other three that it was still a pretty funny episode, and even some of Sanz's weird non-sequiturs…
I definitely enjoy the different energy of having a returning champion every week, but I also hope it doesn't last forever. That seat means one less new voice every week, and I kind of miss the variety.
I'm not an AVC writer, but to me an 'F' episode is an episode that's so bad it not only makes you angry, but is actively, aggressively offensive. I think maybe a D- is more of the "fun to watch" grade for me.
The puppet episode was the only episode of the season I legitimately liked, with no further qualifications. Fuck all y'all who disagree! *drops mic*
THE MICHAEL SCHUR / DAN GOOR COP COMEDY GOT PICKED UP! ANDY SAMBERG! CHELSEA PERETTI!
Yeah, it was the same weekend. I remember being (very slightly) disappointed that I'd have to miss the carnival.
I love you @avclub-7aee1b75b527e215f31e20a5c4e7a768:disqus
I'm basically just ripping off some recent comments related to the staff departures, but it IS kind of troubling that readership numbers would determine what The AV Club, as critics and cultural tastemakers, would choose to cover.
Yeah, I find it troublesome that The AV Club, of all places, isn't going to cover this show (or the Comedy Bang Bang show, for that matter) regularly.
I was looking forward to it, but it's disappointingly low-concept. There are already so, so, so many "comedian talks to other comedians" podcasts out there. Todd is a clever guy, and I wish he would have planned out his show a little better.
My guess is they were planning to do more with Evil Chang, but like us, realized that it wasn't working.
I've heard good things about this show, but I feel like I'm too late.
Eh, I think that's unfair. The past couple weeks have had some really good episodes end up in "the rest", but you can't confine your memory only to the extremely recent past. In general it seems like a strong majority of the episodes get the logo next to them.
Yeah, I was debating if I should say anything, but I'm almost positive the reviewer isn't even listening to the full episodes. Most of the reviews just list a few very specific things that happened at the beginning and then say something vague like " followed by the usual conversations about life and comedy that YMIW…
He's said a few times on YMIW that he kind of plays a character on DLM, and deliberately acts more out there than usual. It can be funny sometimes, but I wish he would just be himself. The live YMIWs are usually really funny, and that's a similar format where Pete is mostly just being Pete.
To put it in context, what made it so special is that Seth and Jonathon have established a very specific vibe for their show where they don't talk that openly about their personal lives (aside from some self-contained stories) and never really acknowledge their place in the larger podcasting world. Sometimes that…
Thanks to whoever provided the impossible-to-find RSS feed last week. After one episode, this podcast is firmly in my weekly rotation.
The review pretty much nails it. Murphy's character is completely one-note and goes absolutely nowhere, but Kirkman more than makes up for it, both in the first segment with Scott and by being a shockingly good first-time Would You Rather player.
