Yeah, I don't necessarily have a problem with them doing self-contained episodes, but at least stop beating the exact same emotional drums over and over again and try going full-on silly or something.  I think I'm the only person in the world who loved the time capsule episode from a couple seasons ago.

I understand where Claire's coming from, but I'm absolutely disheartened to see the Uhh Yeah Dude episode of WTF in "the rest".  As a big fan of the podcast, it was exhilarating to hear them talk so openly about themselves and their show.

So comedians that normally tweet jokes will be tweeting jokes. Got it.

No, Nerdist puts out three episodes a week, and this feature is incredibly useful in deciding which ones to listen to.

I asked this last week, but has anyone found a place to download the audio version of the podcast that isn't iTunes?

First episode was ok, but like a lot of episodes lately it pretty much went nowhere and, despite the presence of Patton Oswalt, wasn't really funny or interesting enough to compensate for its lack of momentum.  Second episode wasn't exactly loaded with stakes either, but was far better.  A Jerry episode will always be

I love Conan's longer interviews. He also just released one with some of the Simpsons writers on Monday.

…nothing?

Yeah, I finally got around to listening to a Stuff You Should Know a few weeks ago (different show, but same network/format), and I was shocked at how bad it was.  It's a completely loose, no-budget affair with two guys barely informed on their subject sitting around talking about what they read out of the

Is there an audio version of this show that I can download anywhere? (that doesn't involve iTunes?)

Thanks.  I always appreciate when people go out of their way to make posts like this.  I was going to skip it, but it's currently downloading.

Yeah, but I think the implication, based on the plotline, is that they're planning to raise the kid together or something.  Which makes their decision to completely ignore the facts in front of them (mainly in service of a quick and easy resolution) a legitimate source of frustration.

This episode was pretty weird.  If they were so upset about the secret filming, then why were they talking to each other about it instead of directly to the crew standing a few feet away from them?  Come to think of it, why didn't they just kick them out after that?

And the Chris/Ann plot resolution was just as lazy as Ron's.  "Well, all evidence points to us being a poor match as parents but…….. whatever, screw facts and logic! We both want to do this so clearly that's all that matters and the kid we bring into the world will not in any way be negatively affected."

Exactly.  Ryan McGee admitted to not being the biggest fan of the show, but managed to be polite, fair, and eloquent.  He was able to use his abilities as a critic to state an unpopular opinion in a reasonable way.  That's the difference.

I think he has a right to his opinion, and to expound on it for a few paragraphs. What's not ok is being a bitter, unprofessional asshole about it, which is pretty much Phil Dyess-Nugent's calling card.

Phil Dyess-Nugent is a miserable dick, and I wish he would stop writing for this site.
