Seconding early The Office.
Seconding early The Office.
If it's popular, then why does it need Podmass's exposure? Popularity generally has very little relevance to professional criticism. Even the Oscars generally go to the "best" films, and pay very little attention to if something was a big-name blockbuster.

The idea of Seth and Jonathan on WTF is so strange to me. On the one hand I'm thrilled, but on the other hand their podcast is such a specific little universe. They never have guests, virtually never reference other podcasts, and barely talk at any length about their personal lives. I know they've done a few print…
Here's a related question that I've always been curious about: If online streaming on nbc.com, Hulu, etc. accounts for such a large amount of TV viewership, why don't they embed the exact same ads as when the show aired live? Why only show three or four completely different ads when you could be showing the exact…
"Still, I wouldn't expect many professional actors (maybe Bill Murray?) to show up and be themselves on the talk show/interview circuit."

He's definitely the weakest link of the three, and sometimes it's easy to forget he's a comedian considering he hardly ever says anything funny. That said, I like him and I consider him essential to the dynamic of the show. I also sympathize with his desire to stay on-topic, because I'm weirdly OCD about that in…
Seeing Amy Poehler and Matt Walsh not only play off each other, but do so in such a bizarre, absurd scenario warmed my UCB-obsessed heart.
Todd, this was a pretty good episode, but it's kind of frustrating and confusing that you don't recognize how important the writing credit has been to this show, at least when talking about the vets like Ganz and McKenna.
I started reading Podmass last summer, and I don't remember them ever covering Bullseye or JJGo, so those were dropped a lot longer ago than the "last while."
The reviewer is the same one who used to review Stop Podcasting Yourself and only put it in The Best about 10% of the time. So far he's doing the same with Mohr Stories. I'm not sure if he realizes that his criteria is completely different than any other reviewer.

Hey, I got 1 guest on my side IDIOT.
Cool, thanks. There's no reason to be rude to me.
Don't the comedians in a showcase like Put Your Hands Together NOT want their sets recorded since they like to use it as a place to workshop new material?
It's a pretty new album, but definitely Cloud Nothings - Attack On Memory. "No Future/No Past" is a slow-build and leads almost perfectly into "Wasted Days" (the best song).
I'm surprised this article made no mention of the podcast Besser and Roberts did addressing many of these issues. I didn't even know about the debate until after I listened, and it was still fascinating as a UCB fan.
I'm extremely thrilled to see improv4humans coverage. People can argue all they want for certain podcasts they like to be covered (I have a few of my own), but I feel like that was the one glaring omission.
I think I was just so thrilled by the St. Elsewhere reference and the apparentness that the show WAS going to turn out to all be a dream that I missed some of the dialogue afterwards. And the big reveal, which honestly is 50 times more brilliant.
