Wait, so what happened at the end?  Was it all a dream or not?  I thought it was.  Am I stupid????

Hopefully this article is linked in tomorrow's "Previously on The AV Club"

Oh, also. If we're discussing final seasons, The Office needs to be mentioned.  I know it's cool to hate on them now (ugh, the 8th season), and they're only really just starting to get into their endgame, but this has been a huge rebound year for them.  The show hasn't been perfect, but now that Greg Daniels is back

I really enjoyed this article.  Like a lot of people here, I only watched The Mary Tyler Moore Show in reruns as a kid, so I never really had any awareness of the episodes I was watching being part of a planned final season.  I remember thinking it was kind of interesting that an episode as big as Mary and Lou going

Definitely watch at least season 5 when you get a chance.  Season 4 is the only "weak" season (and even that one is underrated).  5 is really, really good.

"The Tuxedo Begins" was another standout season 6 episode to me.  I almost feel like that was 30 Rock's nod to Community.

Yeah, the bands I respect the most are the ones that keep it open-ended, and the ones that are kind of on-again, off-again.  Way too many bands go through the whole break-up/reunion cycle, and you never know how anyone's going to feel 5 years from now, so what's the point of officially labeling yourself Broken Up?

They intervened briefly because Pam was alone and in immediate need of help, and to some extent because it was after hours in the office, but that still doesn't mean all the rules of objectivity towards your subjects are out the window.

Yeah, really good point about her deflated happiness.  And that Jim's co-workers were rushing him into the meeting room.

I don't know.  The fight was certainally written realistically to some degree, and it's believable that a couple under stress would talk that way, but it still didn't work for me.  The show's clearly been on a mission to introduce some tension into Jim and Pam's relationship all season, so more than anything I just
