I must only be listening to the good episodes because I think the show has been on a roll lately and has had some incredibly strong guest interactions. See: The Letterman writers, Anna Kendrick, Henry Rollins, Harry Shearer, Joel Hodgson, Joan Rivers, Dr. Demento, John K.  And that's only the first 5 pages.  Chris's

I respect NBC for at least putting it on the air, considering it's basically unheard of in the modern era for failed pilots to see the light of day.

I'll be that guy and say that nothing could have possibly lived up to the hype for me, nor the experience of being in the audience that night which had to have been incredible.  Keep in mind that it's not really developed material, it's all basically her working things out on-stage.

This is a very well-written review.  Pretty much exactly how I feel, having just finished watching this program.  It was very compelling, if imperfect.

I rarely watch SNL, but it seemed like his obnoxious shit-eating grin was significantly toned down since last time I saw him.
