Um, did you miss the part about Matt Bomer being nearly naked?!
Um, did you miss the part about Matt Bomer being nearly naked?!
Oh my, I'm jealous! You got to see a mostly naked Matt Bomer?? Lucky you!
I have a friend who's husband came out as gay. They had a bitter, ugly divorce, wherein he told her that he never loved her and their entire 18 year marriage was a sham. Her self esteem was shot for years after. Her family hounded her for turning her husband gay. It was awful to see. Her ex husband was a total asshole…
Maybe. I think the book did more to show how the Gentleman was completely overwhelming Stephen with this, giving him no choices, and no way to escape.
Hmmm, I'm not sure it really turns him to the dark side. What he's doing is trying to prevent Arabella from telling Strange anything about Lady Pole's enchantment. This isn't different than telling Sir Walter to prevent Arabella from even visiting Lady Pole.
As a book reader, I thought the pacing was fine. It was fine to condense all the war stuff with Strange. Can't exactly show him moving mountains on a BBC tv budget. And Wellington registered strongly enough.
I always thought it might not be real, because The Gentleman is known as a dishonest, manipulative character.
You wouldn't if you were Jack Bender. His work on that show was phenomenal, and it was often the best thing about the show.
A professional actress likely has both a portfolio of head shots and a sample reel showing examples of her screen work. A casting agent would have access to those things. Therefore they already know what the actresses who are auditioning look like.
I supervise about 20 Latino college students. They are all far left progressives. And about half of my actual co-workers are Latino. They are in the 30-50 year old range. They are all progressives, too.
I believe the expiration dates on water have more to do with the plastic bottle than the water itself.
Wow. Water rights compacts? That sounds kind of awful. So, kudos to you for working on it.
From what their website says, they aren't accredited.
That could be. I watched the first 5 episodes over a 36 hour span. I thought they worked brilliantly. I think this is going to be an excellent show to binge watch.
There's another circa episode 5 that is also scene stealing.
What made it worse was when she remarked that she might write it about Childermass and Vinculus, two really cool characters in the book.
If you like the series, I highly recommend reading the book. The adaptation through 5 episodes is really great, however there is so much more wonderful detail and atmosphere in the book.
Yeah, I'm kind of sad that was left out of the series. Wished we could have gotten at least a throwaway line to reference it. Especially as they do mention how Strange often doesn't know how to undo his magic.
Yeah! He is wonderful in that scene! Maybe my favorite scene in episode 5. (Which is a stellar episode.)
No, that happened in TNG. (Him dumping his kind on his parents.) DS9 just pretended Alexander didn't exist except for a couple of episodes, Wherein Worf was still a terrible father.
