This pilot absolutely blew my mind. I still think it is stunning in every way. Even though I am somewhat ambivalent about the final season and the ending of the show, I completely love this episode. And I still love the show.

Wagering is done before the clue in DDs too.
Lindelof and Cuse told ABC in mid-season 3 they needed 3 more seasons to finish the show. And ABC was trying to avoid taking weeks off when airing the show. So, starting in January allowed them to air straight through to May with no weeks off.
Ugh. Did either of them take a guess? Or did they just put up blanks? Because if I had bet only $2000 I would have guessed. And Sagan was my guess. And I never saw the original Cosmos.
I really can't get over the irony that the Disney company had no plans to produce Princess Leia merch. It is stunning. Now I'm curious to see what they will come up with.
This kind of blows my mind. Star Wars has a huge female fan base.
Sweet! Now we can find love and easy money in the AV Club comments. Thanks bot!
Oh, I forgot about that. That ought to provide me with some nice distraction
Out of curiosity, what were the DD questions that were missed? I puzzled out FJ, but I'm not sure I could have done so in the allotted time. Took me a while to remember Malta.
Edited: Sorry, misread your comment.
I also kind of like Sam & Gilly. A little bit, at least.
I think they want to have Dany in the season finale. And this thing with the dragons is probably the only possible compelling story point they have in Dany's story which is strong enough to end the season.
I can't imagine that. You think they push Lady Stoneheart to next season? They are clearly going to bring her into the story. Otherwise wtf was the purpose of even introducing Thoros and Beric?
I, too, find Jon fairly interesting in the book. But, I think the whole Night's Watch story is kind of boring on screen. I also think the show has done nothing to build up any understanding of the tension between the Night's Watch and the Wildlings. The newbies I talk to on a different site couldn't even say why the…
Well, I did like this episode more than "The Hobbit" movies, so there is that. I just expect better from Game of Thrones.
I thought he WAS dead, and then I rewatched and now it seems maybe not. Maybe they'll kill him next week? Wow, that would be kind of unfair at this point.
I like the Jon Snow as Lord Commander story in the books. However I, too, am afraid it might be boring on screen. Especially now that the show has killed off two potential sources of comic relief. Dany's story is already devoid of humor. And bringing in Stannis/Davos/Melisandre doesn't seem like it will improve this…
I actually like the Grey Worm/Missandei scenes because that story desperately needs to develop some of Dany's supporting characters. Even more so now that Jorah will be gone.
People from Phoenix ARE Phoenicians.(Says Phoenix resident.) I've seen this twice on this site now. What is this referencing, because I obviously missed it.
I already thought I was heartless before this episode. Apparently this just confirms it.
