I now feel bad about myself and how cynical I've gotten because I suspect that I couldn't find this subject matter the least bit entertaining.

Yes! "Several" is such a great word choice. It prevented me from complaining that the A's also had great pitching and that is why they won. (Though I am a lover of baseball stats.)

Obviously, that is just when he stopped working for the bad guys and started defending the innocent!

This would make a better legal show than at least half of the legal shows on air.

So, "The Aristocats" is more your style?

And to address your actual point, I believe Sherlock Holmes falling in any kind of love makes the character too close to not being Sherlock. And coupled with a different age, different era, AND lack of profession, that veers so far away, that I no longer consider it Sherlock Holmes. Too many deviations. Great fan

I'm now sorely tempted to Google this. Thankfully, I am on my work computer, so I have something to restrain this impulse. Hopefully by the time my shift ends, I will have forgotten.

Well, but it's the same as Moffat and Gatiss's Sherlock! Didn't you see the response I received below to the same point?

You would do better with your arguments here if you understood the tone of the forum on which you are commenting.

You'd think. But not so in "The Great Mouse Detective".

No. Being mice or being a woman doesn't change their personalities. Those are just the physical forms of the character.

I don't have a problem with fan fiction in general. I mean, I love how Moffatt/Gatiss have updated Sherlock Holmes. And I really like "Elementary" as well. But, these two shows are sticking to the essence of the characters. They don't deviate too far. What I don't understand is when the characters are altered so as

Hmm, will her book on writing be more or less funny than 50 Shades of Grey?

Hey, I could never even attempt NaNoWriMo. So, I won't discourage people who are actually trying. Especially since getting a first draft done is always the toughest part. Once you get it written you can always revise. And if revising means cutting all that crap you wrote to meet a word count, then so be it.

This is so baffling to me. I just posted the same thing. Should have actually read the comments. Sorry.

I fundamentally don't understand the point of writing "fan fiction" where the characters are not actually the characters from the original property. A Sherlock Holmes who falls into a passionate love affair is NOT Sherlock Holmes.

I am really glad I took your advice and didn't Google that.

Ah, I can spend the evening dusting off that good old #NBCFail hashtag. Nice that NBC is giving us some time to prepare.

I saw some idiot post, "Our country has its own National Anthem just like any other country. The National Anthem should be sung in the language of the country! It is offensive to hear it in anything other than English".

When I read the description I laughed and thought, "It can't be THAT bad!" And then I watched it. Wow. Just…. Wow.
