I know all that, but thanks. I thought you were meaning that the basic design was different.

Honda and the other Japanese marques jumped into a market segment that has turned out to be very stable and profitable.
I have a 66 CH and 68 H. I tell people they can take the CH for a ride if they can start it. Magneto. The original anti theft device.
I hear ya on that comment. Mine is 23 this model year. Had it since new. Tried to buy it a beer on its 21st, but the bartender said it had to drink it on the patio and the gate was not in a place to drive through.
35 degrees.
Archie Bunker is back. I thought this was a blog about bikes. No? There's a lot of bikes I would not own. Does not make them bad. I don't condemn them or bad mouth them just cause they are not for me.
You miss the point. It is just like cars. They all serve an audience. Some like their beige cars and some would rather drive a Porsche or something else. It is what they like. Same with motorcycles.
More detail on that, please.
But they came up with some very innovative ways to get around the discomfort.
The only one who really did their homework and figured it out was Kawasaki. Harley actually tried to patent their sound to stop them.
You make a good point. When I first started riding HD's, before AMF, before the SuperGlide, you built your own bike. HD offered maybe 3 big twin and 2 Sportster models. You bought either a whole bike or the parts to make one and proceeded to build it as you wanted it. Not as a marketing department decided.
Interesting point. I have observed 3 people near me who bought their first Big Twin and within a week they each had accumulated several thousand $ in Harley accessories. At my local dealers, the accessories take up as much, if not more, space than the bikes.
But look how long it took. They had Porsche et. al. designs for years and nothing ever came of them.
But Miata stuff is?
Interesting about Dylan. Did not know that. I recall that this was the feature on TJ about a year or 2 ago.
Check and double check all fluids. For the coolant, drain about 2-3 cups from the drain plug (if it has one) to make sure it is really suitable. No chunks of stuff or scale coming out. What is visible in the expansion tank can be deceiving. Make sure your AAA Road Service is paid.
At around $1300/oz, you would probably only need a gold filling to satisfy the requirement. :)
I know what you are saying. I finally told the owner of the company that the extra $ he was paying me to use my truck at work was not worth the difference in costs to me. I sold it and bought a Pontiac Sunbird. Wow, 39 mpg vs. 20. This was also back in the 55 mph days. So I rarely drove over 63-64 to avoid the dreaded…
My venture into small trucks was as a result of commuting (Grand Rapids to Lansing area), 73 miles each way, 6 days a week. And still needing to be able to have some type of carrying capacity. Finally went back to a basic F-150, 300 six, 5 speed manual. It got about 2 mpg less than the S-10 but had room.
