Hey! That's my VW (the black one, No. 4707) in the race! Sadly, we got nerfed by a Desert Lite 30 miles from the finish and it took out our engine.

This car is right down the road from me at Canepa Design.

All Volkswagen. All the time. This is going to be a good night.

I want the featured Beetle so bad it hurts.

Whoa. Very nice.

"Don't Wreck The Car, Don't Be A Jerk, and Try Not To Come In Last." Classic. I say something similar to our drivers / co-drivers at every race. Also, "Don't pee in the seats."

We haven't been able to track him down.

The funny thing is, according to the GoPro footage, he just kissed a small berm at the Prairie City track and it rolled in a split second.

Photos!

No, I just suck at shooting.

I have to say the vast majority of racers give us time to get out of the way or just go around us if we can't find a place to pull off. We've even had people offer to pay for damage they did to the car. Just not this guy.

Jalopnik is my Rolling Stone.

We've done that :)

It was a lot quieter than the AK-47 that the guy was shooting next to me. There is no way you can be stealthy with an AK. The MAC 10 was relatively quiet but I was all over the target. The suppressor weighed a ton. I'm going to stick with camping and sniping on Call of Duty.

The driver and co-driver never got a chance to see his number. Normally, other cars are not allowed to nerf Class 11s because the their bumpers are higher and there's a good chance they'd hit our alternator mount under the deck lid, which basically is game over for us. The vast majority of racers go around us or give

Hey, that's us :)

Does glueing a GoPro mount to your Air Force-issued helmet void the warranty on it? Or get you court martialed?

On it! Might take a couple days to pull together. Updates as they occur. Thank you for the opportunity!
