Not all washing machines have a timer readout so you know how long it is going to take. Also, driers typically use a moisture sensor to determine if the load of laundry is dry or not instead of a timer.

Interesting. I recently did a similar exercise with modeling my house in VR so I could plan my furniture placement and get a feeling of the space in real-world scale. Luckily a good number of my pieces of furniture are from IKEA so I was able to find free to-scale 3D models online.
