Okay, for some reason Disqus didn't show me that this and a bunch of other comments were actually replies to Mandaliet's comment up there. It looked like they were all just responses to the article. So I was unaware of the full context of this comment to which I responded, and maybe that was a critical error.

Didn't say that, either. The question at hand is the distinction between an acquaintance not wanting a date right now and that same acquaintance not wanting a date ever. Temporary no vs. permanent no.

Haha, well I guess he did unconsciously try to hurt Martin a few times in that one episode…

You're cramming words into my mouth against my will.

If your girlfriend ever tells you she doesn't wanna have sex, you should never try to have sex with her again. If you ever get in a fight with your wife and she tells you to fuck off, you should immediately file for divorce and never speak again.

Sure he is. You named him because he specifically represents murder. Serial killers essentially are murder incarnate.

I don't think it necessarily becomes anyone's problem. I'm sure it does for some people, probably those with more misogynistic leanings; but I've never had any hard feelings for either half of a could-be couple — at least, no hard feelings that stemmed from their mere unwillingness to get together.

Nope, two different episodes.

I believe that actually did happen between seasons 1 and 2.

Janine Turner was the very definition of "sexy" for me back then. Northern Exposure and Cliffhanger, some good memories.

"Pathetic and inconsequential are good words to describe the likes of Jefferey Dahmer and David Berkowitz."

Exactly what I was gonna say. It's very unhealthy to confuse infatuation with love. They're not at all the same thing. And I speak as a veteran of the former.

Probably never would've considered this on my own, but now that you mention it, that really is very uncool behavior, and it probably is dangerous to display it in such an innocuous, even romantic light. Thankfully I've never behaved that way, myself, but I wonder if I ever would have done so, if I were a different

So, I imagine this has been asked/complained about before, but I'd very much like to know an answer/make a complaint of my own: why do you sometimes split the covered shows into two groups? Like, Portlandia in one group and Review in another. I guess one's regular coverage and one's only semi-regular? Sometimes I miss

I think the joke where the voice recognition finally heard something right and resulted in Ilana going back on pre-hold was my favorite this week, with Hannibal's "She'll take it!" being a close second. Both hilarious cappers for awesome long-form jokes.

Hannibal crushing it yet again. Him saying "She'll take it!" with that giant smile on his face while Abbi was obviously super-duper-uncomfortable and wanting to leave made me lose it.

I just learned via Twitter that Betsy Brandt is gonna be in this season in some capacity! Looking forward to that. And the season as a whole. Very good show.

Oh right, Maliek. Haha, I didn't remember the circumstances of her departure. I just wanted to name another retired character.
