She said PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease) was the problem, which can be caused by an STD, a botched abortion, or any number of other things.  I'm hoping I was correct in my assumption that they were just gonna drop that, and focus more on finding another kid to adopt.  Which would play into some of the predictions

't ain't easy to miss.

I like Marc Maron and his podcast, but I can't say I find him all that funny, and I can't imagine this show's gonna be any good.  But we'll see.

THERE BETTER STILL BE OOZE OR THERE'S GONNA BE A MAJOR SHITSTORM!

¡Viva Slater!

She's just great.  Thanks for the link.

Well, those crazy old European directors are often portrayed as having short fuses and being prone to grudge-holding, aren't they?  And the stuff with the hooker and the pissing was probably a day in the life, but Hank coming in and punching the guy in the face probably doesn't usually happen.  I reckon most of this

Somebody likes watersports!  Just kidding.  No, it didn't bother me at the time, but the way you phrase it certainly does make Hank sound out of line.  But I can't remember how Hank said that, exactly, whether it was in a self-righteous sort of way or just a "meh, yuck" kind of way.

… The funny alt-text on the title images in reviews, that you see if you hold your cursor on the image for a second.  It seems to have been missing from all the reviews I've read in the last week or so.  Is it just my browser, then?  Hmm… nope, no alt text in that html.  Just wondering why you guys seem to have

Wasn't asking how plausible it was; was just asking if anyone had that thought, however briefly.  Basically just wondering if I'm an idiot/weirdo, or if all this incest on TV recently has gotten to the point where it's become easier to jump to that conclusion, even in places where it isn't the case (a la Suburgatory,

Also, I'm sure this has been asked already elsewhere, but what happened to all the alt-text?

I was just happy to see Trixie again.  This was a perfectly decent, average episode of Californication; not extremely funny, but serving up some good laughs here and there.  Not particularly moving, but not entirely heartless either.  You're right, Karen and Becca are fairly uninteresting, reductive characters

Not very clothed…

Yeah, I think I've gotta agree. It's not like he left his wife for her or anything. And aside from the deception, she doesn't seem like a mean or unlikable person.

I dunno, I think I ultimately can buy the Charlie-Lizzie thing.  He's always been a little brainless in his relationships, and Lizzie has been sweet to him in a way that women never are (except Daisy in season 2, for whom he also fell pretty hard).  And that's something for which I think he was pretty desperate, after

Roscoe should've appeared because Marty's arc was about trying to keep custody of Roscoe, and that would've been a good reason to give us a scene that shows us why Marty is the better parent, why he wants to keep his son, etc.

Another episode of House of Lies, another out-of-nowhere bit of backstory, which will surely be completely out the window by next week.  I like these actors so much; I really wish the writers had a fucking clue what to do with them.

There was a line in that "Hangover monkey" conversation that just slayed me.  And Lisa absolutely rocked every scene she was in this week.  And of course Noah was plenty of fun, as always.  Hearty laugh at that phone conversation with his daughter; "Yeah, but that's unusual.  I'm pretty sure she's drunk."
