Hm, I guess.  But it sounded like they were focusing on that year specifically because "some tragedy" happened to Abu Nazir during that time.  Also, considering how many other documents were up there on that board, I would assume that things like those examples you gave would've been documented as well.

Well, well… that looks worse than the last one.

Yeah, how the fuck did Dexter not hear, "I'm gonna try killing some people" in that speech?  He's supposed to have a sixth sense about this shit, and even without it, that conversation should've raised a red flag.

Is Louis Chicky Hines?

I don't know if he's necessarily onto Dexter.  Sending the hand to Dexter would be a  significant thing just based on Dexter's awareness of the hand, and the fact that Dexter and Debra's overt relationship with Brian Moser was pretty significant, even without the Dexter-Brian blood relation or the

Stand still!  It's our only hope!

I loved the R. Lee Ermey scene.  The rest of the episode was instantly forgettable.

YOU'RE TOO CLOSE TO THIS THING, SCRUFFY!  YOU'RE OFF THE CASE!

Agreed.  It could and should have a bit more in the way of actual critique, but there was some in the intro paragraph, and the one about previous future-set episodes.  Not a high-quality review, but not a bad one either.

But shouldn't a recap be more useful than a review, for a reader who didn't actually watch the episode?

Things I loved:
-The Road Warrior air travel, the plane's "rider" shooting that guy, the guys unloading the luggage.
-The Ralph clone scene.
-The Nahasapeemapetilan 64.
-Frozen Cat Lady.
-"Find 'Argh' near you!"
-The Bart and Lisa scenes, which narrowly avoided outright sappiness.
(edit: Why is Disqus such a dumbass about

Oh man that thing with the seeing-eye dog was so sad, hahaha.  I almost cried for that guy.

Spider-Steve made me laugh my ass off.  Oh, and that exchange between Roger and Jeff, hahahaha.
"JEEEEEFFFFFFFFFF!!!"
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAATTT?"
Reminded me of "Guards!" "Yeah?" from that "human horn" episode of Futurama.

Oh damn… somehow I never noticed that was Mandy Patinkin on Dead Like Me.  Cool! :D

Another great episode.  I fully agree with this review, although Carrie's illness acting worked for me right from the get-go.  But her dialing it down gradually as the episode went on was really well-done.  And I don't think your crazy theory is very crazy at all, Todd.  I'm pretty sure it's correct.

I didn't understand why Dexter had to lie and say it was "just luck."  I mean, at that point everyone knew that Dorsey was a bad guy, and so any reasonable cop would suspect that his wife might be a person of interest as well, and would know what she looked like so that if she turned up at the police station while

I agree with you about Debra being nearly the only good thing about the show at this point.  And I too appreciated that police station attack and save.  It's nice to see Dexter save the day overtly for once, instead of just serial-killing his way to providence.

That painting was hilarious; way funnier than "Hello, whore," for me.  I agree with pretty much everything in this review.  Can't bring myself to care about any of what's happening at this point, and the writers seem to keep shying away from chances to actually do big things (like killing Angel/Quinn, etc.).

Top men… mmm-mmm!

I guess it's just a matter of taste.  It is good that he's willing to call such people on their bullshit, right to their face, but I rarely enjoy seeing that kind of interview.  It feels kind of like preaching to the choir to me, especially when the audience cheers and applauds Jon every time he makes a good point.
