Sorry I wasn’t too fucking obvious for you. Let me rephrase:

He was playing in the CFL for the Riders. Canada, where not that many people are shot because of road rage. Or other reasons.

Wimp. If he was Canadian, he would have just jammed it up his ass.

Why was this buried and grey? Does nobody here spike their bleached hair and wear a trenchcoat?

I read this and all I can think is: Holy crap, I’m clearly getting old. Because we’re going to host a party on the 17th, we have yet to sent out invites, and yet we know most people will be able to come. Because nobody our age has a life anymore.

Edumacation.

I’m with you. Although at least it has shelter from above for the fans, as opposed to our usual open to the elements plan.

A boy my son trains with in their academy was born in Brazil and adopted to the frozen wastes of Canada when he was about 5. He still follows all things Brazilian footy, and this morning his mom (a friend) posted a message of condolence in Portuguese on FB. I translated it to see what she had written, and, knowing

It’s a goddamned religion and obsession and some days it more than wearies me. That said, I was in Regina a couple weeks ago and saw the new Mosaic Stadium, and it is stunning.

SI did a good run of pieces a couple of years ago.

Hey, another guy from Toontown.

Yeah, one of my son’s soccer teammates has been scouted by the Hilltops to be a kicker. Apparently he knocks off 50 yard FGs with ease. And he’s also built like a brick shithouse.

I live in Sask now, and the local fans always drive me nuts (although I do admire their passion). So I did find some humour in that 13th man issue that year.

Yeah, I grew up an Esks fan, so have always had an ABC (Anyone But Calgary) attitude. They sure tried to squander it this year, too, though.

This was another in a long but irregular line of Grey Cups that make the Super Bowl look, well, not so super. I mean, not every year, but you can usually make book on the Grey Cup being more of a thrill fest. Sometimes for the wrong reasons, but still...

Communist African-Canadians didn’t fit on the logo.

Yes, although Simon Fraser in Vancouver made the move to NCAA D2 a few years ago, in the GNAC. Also, every year there is a college all star game in the US and usually a couple of Canadians get the invite and maybe a cup of coffee. We watch enough NFL up here that I imagine it’s not that hard to transition for the few

And a milkshake. But I’ll be making my own, thank you.

Thank you. And FWIW, Canadian health care does not pay for dental, vision, meds (in most cases). Custodial care is bare bones.

Check your calendar.
