Column shifters are great for trucks as they are pretty much out of the way. I always like column shifters as they are much more tactile than sliding a freakin knob a few clicks.

That granny shifter works a lot better than the console shifters that the Germans are using (Or the column shifter Benz uses on most non-sporty models). They're incredibly frustrating to use. Why reinvent something that works?
