This is a perfect example of why Ford should have shrunk the size of the car for the 2015+. When we have coupes the size of a 5 passenger sedan that way almost 4,000lbs, it just spirals out of control on how to manage that weight. Car should be 3,300lbs.

I spent a couple days in one, and they aren’t THAT bad. But they do get terrible MPG, I think I averaged like 22 or something in it. The automatic shifted manual is VERRIBLE but otherwise it was sort of fun to pass people in a little ass car and then they get pissed and pass you back. 5 miles later repeat.

Not a bad choice. I was thinking the subframe and drivetrain from any recent FWD car/SUV/van would work well here, it’s all pretty good these days. Pair the back with anything really from the same car, or it’s beefier cousin (example: Fusion front, Edge rear).
