We had a 01. Bought it with 60k, blew the engine at 140k I think it was. All my fault though. If I didn’t let a few things go, it would still be trucking today (water leak caused by timing cover gasket). From 60k to 140k we only did: 2 sets of tires (2nd set still had 80% life left when it blew), 2 trans fluid changes…

It doesn’t cost $5k to replace a heater core. Could easily be a grand due to the labor, but no way is it $5k. I get your point, but this is a failure item on any car.

Voting nice price because it’s one of the nicest Cherokees around (at least appears that way). If I were in the market, I may do up to around $7,500. As a collector, I think $8,500 would be fair if you plan to sit on it for while.
