This was my favorite episode this season. They have all been strong, but several of the other highly-regarded episodes left me disappointed. This time, I didn't read the review until afterward and was shocked at the B rating. Anyway I guess ratings don't matter (and that's what this episode taught me). But I laughed

Yes, the doc crew would have footage of the recital, and it would definitely be featuring cece, and here's the thing, everybody: the show has deviated so far from the rules of "this is a documentary" that having this big reveal now is nothing more than a cheap "wouldn't this be surprising" moment. Are we to believe

A comedy moving to dramatic moments (as I think the Office has done successfully in the past) can be great. The problem with this episode is that every emotional punch was so forcefully contrived. Every little setup (Jim's "look at the move I taught cece!" or Pam's "Almost better than actually getting good news!") was

What a whacked-out, awful, predicable, ugly mess that episode was. And if they're going to show us the camera crew after 9 years, are they going to explain why a camera crew was allowed to be in Philly videotaping an uncomfortable sale in Jim's new business? Maybe that's part of the reason the sale was lost…
