That is mostly what it’s about. The other content owners taking back their material and Netflix being exposed for the bad and/or questionable content creators they are where algorithms are left in charge to make most executive production decisions rather than people.

Let’s not kid ourselves, the “roast” element is very much in the celebrities favor. It is a very calculated effort to humanize them and make them look a little less like the preening self congratulating sycophants they are and is hard to avoid in an award show.

Just cut that award and move on. Not that complicated.
