In season 1 I thought it got much better as it went on and they used the breaking of the 4th wall more sparingly. Gave the episodes a better rhythm.

I that second episode you could also have the extended siege of the city with Dany expecting the peasants to revolt and run to her side but the hunger and desperation of a siege accomplishes none of that. Dany then feels betrayed by the people of King’s Landing as well.

Eh. At least that episode had a point of view. This show has been a lot dumber for a lot longer than people want to admit.

Nothing has changed. It’s almost like we are on a wheel or something. The show should have told us we were on a wheel.

I thought they were onto something the 1st few episodes but their desire to reset the basic dynamics of the show stretched the boundaries of credulity too much for me.
