No I’m not “at” BWI, though I have spent my time there . . I didn’t see that they had put the aft-facing units up on the deckhouse. Those had been debated. There is a current discussion re: an additional scanner house-top, for dedicated nav radar, due to some conflict.
Or the rocks . . She has to make a couple of serious turns, and pass through some very tight spots to get out the river

They’re keeping the pop-up of course, and the current discussion is for another dedicated nav scanner on the upper house or mast

For all of the electronics on board, they still use Furuno Commercial radars, because they’re the best ;)

There were a lot of changes made to the masts - This current configuration was a . . . compromise . .
Stability isn’t an “eyeball” thing really - It’s all engineering. She’s just as stable as any other vessel in 99.8% of situations. There are some particular “extremis” situations which they will try to avoid, but all in all she will ride and perform quite well.
I’ve seen it - It makes me sad :(
