I shouldn't have to train at something to enjoy an anime series, that sounds a bit tedious of a thing to do instead of waiting for an auditory option.

It's inconvenient and distracts my focus. When I watch shows on my phone and pause, the time bar is in the way of the text, so I can't even pause to read. Dubs these days are actually done pretty well, so 95% of the time I wait for the dub.
