I give the "Best bad movie" title to THE PRESTIGE. (Heavy spoilers from here on.)

Why do I have to imagine Michael Bay looking and sounding like Will Ferrell as Alex Trebek in that story?
Even as a teenager with much lowered standards, I never got the love for this movie. It's simply boring.
Nah, thanks to alcohol, I don't have to do the dirty work.
That still leaves the question why you (and the rest) would drink a poison, that tastes bad in everything.
But I don't like alcohol. I even think that pouring badly tasting poison, that turns even the smartest human being into a drooling piece of shit, is one of the worst things that anybody can do.
(High horse? Maybe, but I deserved my place on it, by going through a pretty crappy life while staying sober all the time,…
AMERICAN HISTORY X is such a great movie, but I always wondered what the director's cut would have been. Tony Kaye was reportedly so dissatisfied with the rleased version, that he wanted to withdraw his name from it. But again, it IS a great movie! Would his version be even greater or is this a case of "We took a…
It is. In June, when I was in Toronto the last time, it said on the outside "Beer as cold as your wife's heart".
Reflections still had lots of great stuff IMO and by that point, the drums and the bigger focus on guest singers weren't too bad, because despite all these additions, it still sounded like Apocalyptica. But after that, even the Cellos didn't sound like Cellos anymore.
Good point.
Yeah, but I still think that the dreaded "politics" played a role in here. Mostly: "I really don't wanna defend why I voted an admittedly great movie, that has the potential to become every MRA's favourite.
People love to shit on ANNIE HALL (especially STAR WARS fans), but if you watch that movie again, you'll notice how innovative and influential it was. Basically you could say that the whole 90s independent scene and their talky, conventions defying movies, wouldn't have existed without ANNIE HALL.
(Not to mention that…
I think Gone Girl was a victim of its controversial topic. Hard to argue in a "rape culture" and pro-feminist climate for the greatness of a movie, where a woman fakes her own abduction and rape.
If any, I think they should nominate even MORE movies! No, seriously! Maybe they could even hand out silver and bronze Oscars. I'm still serious.
I'm all for people trying to raise awareness for the problem of how easily men can be falsely accused of sex crimes and how such a thing can destroy a man's life. One of my biggest fears in life, is that some teenage girl, who probably can't even grasp what she is doing and thinks it's just a funny prank, points at me…
Coincidentally that's the only Metallica record that I own. (But I heard from many Metallica fans [I'm not one, only a guy who previous liked a few of their singles and never listened to a full album before] that they hated it and I can see why.)
Apocalyptica - World's Collide
A guy I know worked for the DVD company, that distributes his movies here in Germany. Everybody there loves him and he is regardest as the nicest and most down to earth celebrities to talk to, both on the business and non-business side.
It always amazes me that not many people seem to know, that Zombie had voice cameos in all of James Gunn's movies. Saying "Rob Zombie is doing voice over work for GOTG 2" is like saying: "Extra extra, Doug Jones will play creature in new Guillermo del Toro movie!"
Yes, but certain jokes NEED a certain political POV. Family Guy often comes across like the frat boy, who throws a "Sieg Heil" and an N-word at other people, but when confronted about it, just says: "Oh no, I was making fun of racism! It's satire!" or "I just try to show you how political correctness goes against…
