Um, we’re out of milk, syrup, ice, lids whip cream and all the special ingredients. We’re not complaining about customers cause that adds to our labor and hours for our partners. It is an absolutely insane situation where the phone is literally non stop with people asking for the frap. We have radio stations calling

Yep. Not to mention the other side of this where those corporate overlords and salaried managers and whatnot are making bonuses and raking in massive profits with this dumb drink. All on the backs of these ground-level employees who—if Starbucks is like any other retail company in the US—will likely see absolutely

As a business owner, I know that, if I advertise a special promotion, I need to have an adequate plan, resources and staffing to support that promotion. If you say “buy this special thing now!” and then you don’t have enough of the special thing, or you can’t serve your customers in a timely manner, then you’re going

As somebody claiming to have spent a lot of time in retail, are you telling me you’ve never had a point where a day is so terrible, and you are so overwhelmed, you didn’t want to burn the place down?

One of the worst times to work at McDonald’s back in the day was during the goddamn Teenie Beanies.

No doubt. I haven’t worked retail in over 30 years, but I *still* remember working retail in a toy department during the Great Cabbage Patch Doll Craze in the Christmas season of ‘83. We had to keep the damned dolls in a lockup because customers were sneaking into “Employees Only” area to steal them.

This comment just shows that you have never worked in retail.

My argument seems pretty sound:

It has so many issues, but Lena Dunham is a talented writer and it’s a really well-made show, flaws and all.

I never understood the hate on this show due to people were conflating Lena Dunham with a character she created. I remember when 30 Rock came out, and a Slate critic said that Tina Fey hasn’t been single since the Clinton administration so therefore she wouldn’t know how to write dialogue for Liz Lemon.

Initially, I left this show alone. I heard enough yelling about OMG WHITE GIRLS that I avoided it.

Annnnd I’m crying again.

I’m still so cross that she’s gone. There was so much still left in her. The tribute is beautiful and I’m glad it wasn’t a whole somber, earnest, affair. There was sex jokes and her sticking her tongue down a fan’s throats and it was perfect. For me, I just burst when they showed the little girls dressed up as Leia.

LA local here. Watching local news live. (Weird that no car chase involved.)Latest reports say domestic violence incident.

i saw the picture of the little kids holding hands and immediately teared up. why. how. why.

I still maintain OC season 1 is like one of the best first seasons of TV I’ve ever seen!!

also yes this is a fictional show and i may be too invested. you should hear me talk about “gossip girl”.

real talk.

To Whom It May Concern:

I wouldn’t have used “rectified” in my letter in this situation.
