That is simply a “We don’t want to sell it” price. Either the dealer wants to keep it for display or the Dealership owner wants to keep it around for personal use.

Doing that in Maine is a one-way ticket to bankruptcy and jail time. Even if you have a license to do it, you are not exempt from the record keeping requirements of WHO you got them from and where they came from. And the state wants to see those records on a regular basis.

Maine, and a few other states very much did this, and it WORKS.

In fairness to the cops and Fetterman (shudder), I-70 is a clusterfuck when it comes to traffic management. There are some exits that are literally right after a 2-lane highway merges from the right, while others that have merge lanes that end right before the exit lanes start so there’s a ton of jockeying around.

Those secondary markets already exist with tradesmen & mechanics running fence for crackheads on cats & wire to the recycling yards. The crackdown needs to come at sentencing when the courts actually pin someone for theft instead of handling them with kid gloves.

I have been the victim of thieves that will cause a lot of destruction for a relatively tiny financial gain. In my experience, they were desperate drug addicts that threw their lives away just for a few bucks for the next fix.

to quote George Harrison. “Its been done.” Seriously no loss on these scooters and bikes. A lot of them have been stolen numerous times, the small bikes and scooters are low grade Chinese motorcycles.

I wish Boston would do the same.  

Groups on ATV, dirt bikes, etc. performing street takeovers, blocking highways, and driving dangerously on city streets and sidewalks are a menace, and often are used in commission with other crimes or to escape from crime scenes.

I simply will not stand for such disrespect toward Don Henley
