While this latest BS from F1 is not at the level of the Machiavelian Jean Marie Balestre years (look it up kids) it still a whole lot of fuckery.  You have two teams perpetually at the back of the grid this year and they say Andretti won’t be competitive??  At least he’d give them a run for the money as he develops

I’ve been done with F1 for a good while now, but this decision is just pathetic. Should I list the current participating teams who have been “uncompetitive” for quite a while? Are those not a drag on the sport? Any new team is going to struggle, going to have to learn, and have to overcome challenges. Isn’t that the

Ehh... No. If the speed limit is 50 and you’ve got a slowpoke going 45, passing them safely at 50 is unlikely to happen within a safe interval.

You clearly do not do much driving on rural 2 lane roads. In some 50 years of cross-country “Blue Highways” driving I’ve had umpteen instances such as vehicles entering from unseen locations from the opposite direction. Accelerating out of danger can often be the better option over braking.

He is just a hired troll to write the worst takes so that it gets clicks. Bradley is on the old Deadspin model.

Just to be clear, this is America... The person in front of me can be as much of a danger to me as the person behind me. I drive a Prius and ride a motorcycle (incongruous to some, I know), and experience hate from multiple groups. There are people on our roads actively using their vehicles as weapons (brake checking,

Bradley’s mindlessly Bootlicking for authoritarianism again.

Dude - just no. In NO world do you pass another car on a two lane road and take your time. My father is 81 years old. He has never been stopped by the police. He was a truck driver/family trucking company owner. He is the epitome of a good cautious driver. He told me when I was learning to drive that if I ever needed

You’ve never been stuck behind two 18 wheelers trying to pass each other have you?

Fortunately, you are incorrect.

Notice how he made you click and engage? That is Bradley doing his job well.

I mean that’s patently wrong and it is completely legal in many states to exceed the speed limit while passing:

Bradley seems real fun for road trips...I would assume he is a left lane cruiser in a Prius because it sure does sound like he sure hates cars.

I will never understand why speed is ALWAYS the scapegoat. Too often you see news reports where its “Speeding Driver Causes Wreck on X Road” or “Two People Killed When Struck by Speeding Driver” and then in the report itself you find out that the driver was high, driving a stolen car, and ran a red light.

Yeah cool - do you drive in rural parts of your state or the ones surrounding it? And when you do you have never gone above the speed limit or above 70mph? And it’s all for safety reasons? I call bullshit.

The 10 mile over limit gives room for passing on 2 lane roads, which need to be done as expeditiously as possible.

Yeesus, Bradley. This article is bad, your take is bad & short sighted, and your responses to the comments seem to be the equivalent of “I know you are but what am I,” second grade playground chat. Gosh, coming to Jalopnik is like opening the fridge 100 times when you are hungry hoping that something delicious

Wtf is this nerd shit.

Given how ridiculously and artificially low speed limits are posted in the US, this is a terrible idea. I’m not talking about the guy going 105 mph in a city center, t-boning another vehicle and killing everyone involved. I’m talking about the average not-in-a-neighborhood-or-downtown roadway that everyone is going

The problem with this solution is it only affect new cars. Cars going well under the flow of traffic will cause more unsafe situations than everybody doing over.
