Agreed. If you’re not upbadging, why is it cringe to give the car the name it had in its domestic market? If anything, the Acura -> honda example is DOWN badging. Its not meant to impress you, that’s literally the point.

The rest of the list though, yea all that needs to stop. 

Also, a Holden-ified GTO, G8 (especially the GXP), or Chevy SS will ALWAYS be cooler than the US badged version. 

I’m a Get Off My Lawn guy, but I saw a Chevrolet SS with replacement Holden badges and I got a car-person giggle from it. Only car people know what they’re looking at so it’s nothing like a brag.

I agree with some of the foreign badges,especially the KDM “Klexus” badges. I have a Stinger that came with the KDM badges on it. People already ask “what kind of car is that”, and the KDM badges just add to the intrigue. Now if you’re putting the KDM badges on your Soul or Forte I’m just going to make fun of you.

They really did a terrific job with it, and kept it subdued enough to where this design will no doubt go a couple decades without ever looking dated. That’s no small feat with a modern car.

Sure, I’ll say it again: I am completely gobsmacked at how well the Charger EV echoes the 2nd gen Charger, the all-time styling classic. Other than the headlights, it’s a doppelganger to what I saw in Las Vegas last March:

I like the tasteful non-local style badging as a fun little thing to see in the wild. A Honda badge on a Integra kind of thing. Or getting JDM/EU rear taillights for the yellow turn signals.

Yeah this doesn’t bother me in and of itself.  I had an ‘04 GTO that I had designs of Monaro-ing but never got around to it.

I always figured these were for smokers/vapers, and being that is a Subie, probably a vaper in that case lol
