No but the vin of the vehicle is registered to get the plate, so the vin will allow you to lookup the insurance info.

Plates are tied to the registered owner here, not the car.

I did. It is still hilarious that the “pinnacle of motorsports” only has 10 teams and some of those teams can’t even build more than 2 cars.

It didn’t shut down the team, but it had a lasting impact on Toyota in NASCAR, even today. “Them Cheatin’ Toyotas” became kind of a black mark for any Toyota driver, combined with the stigma of a “foreign” car in an American sport (despite that their cars are more made in the USA than the Fords or Chevy’s they compete

They don’t have backup cars? What a joke series.

I don’t get how this isn’t an insurance company issue to sort out.
Here is Massachusetts you cannot get a plate for your car unless you have insurance.

So it should be pretty easy to lookup the insurance company tied to a vin, and drop it off with them. They are ultimately the ones who will need to pay out for a

It’s a warning to others. Don’t be this stupid because there isn’t a quick fix.

Strange to see F1 headed in that direction when NASCAR just had one of it’s best races of the year due to having very soft tires that degraded quickly. In the race alone at Bristol, the 36 teams went through 1440 tires, and most teams finished their run on cords.

Autonomous driving is VERY easy to implement if you do not concern yourself with pedestrian safety or occupant safety.

Can’t really fault Nascar. There isn’t a 100% legal car in the field, it is the nature, culture, and beauty of the sport. It’s impossible to catch it all ever week.

Yeah, Bradley is incorrect saying there is no rule. There is absolutely a rule.

As for other modifications - The rules for fire suits and gloves was actually updated prior to the 2024 season as well. All logos must be printed, not stitched.

I agree it was creative, and he got away with it for Daytona qualifying.

The rulebook already specifically states that you 1. Cannot modify certified safety equipment and 2. the fingers of a glove must be detached.
He violated both of these already written rules which is why he is penalized.

Ross’s move was not illegal prior to doing it, so the comparison doesn’t work.

the left hand in the window isn’t used in the race often, it’s mainly used for qualifying. And qualifying up front keeps you out of trouble early in the race. Also, until the race really gets going, it’s hard to say if the temp, track, tire, and aero package how easy it will be to pass. As we saw in the xfinity race

Such a great Daytona 500. One of the best 500s in recent memory. Not quite as good as the Daytona night race last season but still very fun to watch.

I love Caleb’s show but the one thing that always stands out to me on these is that some financial institution gave this person a loan. How? Why? Who is doing the actuarial work at these places? Even if your goal is to collect a crapload of interest for a few months and then eventually repo it, that repo’d car is

They mentioned the Xfinity race coming up at 9 multiple times during the broadcast and closed out the broadcast on FOX by telling viewers to tune in to FS1 for the Xfinity series race at 9.

Oddly, FS1 decided to keep airing a rerun of a 2018 poker tournament between 8:30-9:00 instead of showing any of the xfinity setup

NASCAR did a great job officiating at the end, but FOX really bungled their coverage of the finish. They did a decent job of proving that the leader crossed the line to receive the white flag prior to the caution, but then didn’t show coverage of the position of the cars at the moment the caution lights were triggered

It is so goddamn easy to back a car with a backup camera. it literally draws the lines. Would people be slow the first few times, sure, but after a couple times they’ll be just as quick as anyone.
The cars I see in the lot over the line or parked at an angle are the ones who parked nose in, and it makes sense. Nose in

if the Malibu even gets renewed. For now I think they are going to keep running the Camaro through at least 2025.

Martin Truex Jr was the regular season champion, not Willy B.

If you find it harder to reverse into an empty space, especially in a modern car with a backup cam, you deserve to lose your license. It takes seconds more to back into a spot than pull forward in, and it is EASIER, since you don’t have to swing your front tires wide to get squarely in the space.
