I agree. I haven't been caught out there, but I've seen plenty of drivers that have. This video shows how horrible things can go at Turn 9.

Sounds perfect, actually.
Mine is all raced out for track/autocross/canyons. It's loud, rough riding, and sticks like glue. It's completely obnoxious and increasingly difficult to drive because I can't leave it alone. And I use it as my semi-daily driver because it always puts a smile on my face.
Nothing brings such joy as an old-school, air-cooled 911. That was beautiful.
First gut laugh of the day! Thank you, sir.
If the police were really honest about this (I know, I know... stop laughing and keep reading), they would cite people for "Interference with Unwarranted Tax Collection."
"Sir, what I'm going to have to do right now is place you under arrest for interfering with a police officer, ok. What I'm going to need for you to do for me right now is put your hands behind your back right now, ok."
The first 2 years of the SC (78-79) had chrome window trim. Also of note... The 911SC badge on the decklid. Also also of note... the midyear in your pic is a narrow body. The car in question has the Carrera/SC fender flairs.
Enjoy...
On warm days, it's also a great make-shift cooler. A buddy and I drove my 911 from Los Angeles to Monterey Historics in August, and that's where I stashed the wine for the trackside camping. It all stayed relatively cool in there considering the 100+ temperatures we drove through to get to Laguna Seca.
That was the original design prototype. Production cars go through various stages of prototypes. The one in the video is obviously one of the final pre-production units.
I wish Audi had destroyed this one too. The front is kind of cool, but it all goes straight to horse-hockey after that. Those side pods!
Huh?
Things in life that I can count on completely:
Beat me to it!
Uhmmm... Didn't Clarkson drive one on Top Gear? He's well over 6'2". (according to the internets anyway)
That IS pretty sweet. Chrysler had a lot of cool scoops back in the day.
It's slightly off center in placement on the hood. Slightly over to the passenger side. The scoop itself is symmetrical though. Details. I should have said the placement there-of.
