Umm...no it's not? The article didn't say "$421,000 thousand", it said "$421,000". It should have said "$421,000,000". They're very different things.

...or 333mm

Exactly what I was thinking. My mind was going to the $200+ mil range...$8 mil is a few high-priced cars.

But, as the OP said, most of these boxes will be placed in media centers, where air flow is beyond a luxury. In addition, servers aren't designed with sound volume in mind. They're usually behind closed doors in well-circulated and ventilated rooms (a vast majority of server rooms have dedicated AC units). In those

LOL I forgot there are no buttons on the right side of the iPhone! I apologize. I sold my last iPhone 5 about 2 months ago and have gotten used to having the power button on the right again I guess.

I'm very surprised that nobody has mentioned this...but your tests for the gyroscope are flawed...because of the buttons.

So...how is this different from just buying a $3 bucket and a $2 set of good rubber gloves? How is this even an invention?

The idea is fantastic...but the implementation is definitely going to require some crowd-sourced intelligence; however, that's the point. He's putting it out as an open-source idea so that it can be worked on by the masses. It's not as if a company is just going to come in an develop the thing based on public opinion

Err..."Web companies" doesn't mean ISPs, inherently. They could be asking companies like Facebook and Google for the account information. They're still considered 'Web companies'.

Umm...not even remotely. On Verizon LTE speeds were about the same (I got anywhere from 40Mbps to 70Mbps when the network started going online), and once people started hogging it it slowed down (now I generally get around 15-20Mbps).

You mean like I did in college when I was getting an English Literature degree? I didn't have an editor back then and I was graded more harshly if I included spelling and grammar mistakes...so I have a fairly good idea what that pressure feels like.

I don't sit in the attic, I just meant a majority of the time if people want to listen to really high quality music they're going to be relatively stationary. If people are walking down the streets they'd generally be more interested in simple earbuds or small headphones since they'll want to throw them in a bag or

'If the aliens every decide to say high, let's hope we get lucky and actually hear it.'

lol stop it.

For anyone that's been in the military recently, this is the exact same machine they use in bootcamp to determine your sizes. It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I walked into the machine, stood there for 10 seconds with my arms out, and when I walked out they had a few sets of clothes for me to take. It

Considering his wife is *far* more attractive than any of the women in the video? Pretty sure she has nothing to worry about.

Holy Mother of Jesus. This is huge...how the heck did they not flaunt this gesture?? It was obnoxiously annoying when using Google Maps as a nav app with one hand. And now I realize it's because *this* feature was not known.

This. Came to post the name.

The problem is that most people don't even understand, truly, what he did. He found a pretty blatant, and severe, flaw in the iPad system and exploited it. He did nothing illegal...at all. As a few others have said, he basically opened someone else's contacts list and posted the email addresses.

I definitely would. When I have people over to watch a movie I'd gladly have the ads play before the movie so that we could all sit down and watch without interruptions. It's like the ads for other movies when at the theater, except here I wouldn't feel bad about going to get popcorn for everybody.
