The difference is that Common was really really dope at one point in the mid 90's. I still have the Ressurection LP, and that is pure hip hop. He worked with real mc's like Freestyle fellowship, Kweli, Kool Keith. He dropped one of the illest freestyles I have ever heard. Sometime in the late 90's early 2000's he

God, two of the main reasons hip hop is so wack right now collabing. This looks almost as terrible as that awful Banks and Steelz album where RZA basically simps himself out for 40 minutes. Watch the throne was a joke. When is RTJ coming out with their next album, I can guarantee that it will be light years better

The sad thing is that CH actually really thinks this show is spectacular. The guy will literally whore himself out for anything if the price is decent.

I honestly find that even though rappers are technically better from a complexity standpoint, I enjoy the rappers from my era much better. These rappers today may be more complex but they aren't saying shit for the most parts. Give me Guru over anybody today.

The difference for me was always the producer aspect. Outkast had organized noize, Wu-Tang had RZA, so all of their albums had a similar feel and flow to them. I can't say to much about Black Hippy because there really isn't anyone in the collective besides Kendrick that I really like as a rapper. Ab Soul Schoolboy

Hell yeah, great album by Mr. Lif. If you want a great hip hop novel, try Aceyalone's Book of Human Language. really underrated.

Agree 100%

I think a lot of people think production in hip hop is better and more musical now than it was in the golden age, and I simply do not see it. Dj Quik's music was all live, and way funkier than anything today. I look at Quik, Dre, Cold 187um, Suave house, Organized noize and the music was was more advanced than most

I am a huge fan of the early 90's hip hop. Having an R&B singer on your album back then either came off as incredibly dope like any of the Gangstarr tracks(mainly because it forced the singer to adapt to a dope Preemo beat) or it came off as incredibly wack. Nowadays, you have busters like Kanye and Drake and Jay Z

That is not saying much, but his verse was good. Overall, I would give this album a solid b. I haven't thoroughly enjoyed a de la album since stakes is high, as they were always well respected by me, but I never fully got into them. I was more of a Tribe guy. But there are just too many skits and talking, and a

Utopia was a really good but messed up show. I love a good conspiracy theory and that show had delved into a ton of them.

I think chemistry comes off naturally. Look at Michael Emerson and his wife Carrie Preston. They have instant chemistry on screen and are married in real life. I would think it would easy chemistry between 2 people that are together. But you are probably right, it's more her not being that great as an actress, but

Considering I am just finding out about them being a couple here, I am a little surprised, but on screen chemistry and real life chemistry can be 2 completely different things. But on the show, there is nothing there. Maybe it's the way Juliette is written. I have never cared for her character.

The only thing this website does well is tv reviews. The communtiy and comment sections are a highlight to read. They have been dropping the ball in that regard for sometime. When Person of Interest aired the final season, they reviewed it late all of the time, to the point where commenters had to discuss the new

Yeah, I was a huge Hannibal fan, but my wife and I enjoy Grimm. It's simply a fun show, and one of the few shows I can watch despite the many many plot holes.

No doubt. Bitsie is the weak link in this show. Her and Nick just had no chemistry, I felt more chemistry in half of last season between Nick and Adeline than anything between Juliet and nick.

This is one of those shows that I watch with my wife. I have enjoyed a bunch of the run of the show, there have been some huge dips in quality especially in season 2-4. Season 5 felt like much better from a storytelling standpoint and the finale was really good. I hope it ends strong and I am glad it is ending this

Plus they have to have a tie in where Madison is Rick's sister or cousin or some shit.

Really stupid. I loved the episode, probably my second favorite of the season. Somebody always has to keep the divisive man vs woman bs on this site though.

I doubt that is where the are going with this. This show is not sci fi, and as much as Fringe kicked serious ass, I would not want this show to go there.
