While this episode was a clunker, the last ep was one of the best eps of the season so I'm not sure what you are getting at. To me eps 3-6 were the weakest of the bunch along with most of this one.

Exactly, it was easily the most cringeworthy cameo I have seen in a long long time. I enjoyed everything about the episode, but that scene took me completely out of the moment, and it was just so lame. If he was a background character with no dialogue and especially no singing, it would have been fine, but good god,

Big fan of digable planets and butterfly was always dope. A couple of shabazz' earlier albums were decent, but this shit is just an incoherent mess. Wish he would get back with doodlebug and ladybug Mecca, hip hop could really use them, but I can't cosign this shit.

Both album are B's at best. Kool g rap's album is way better than both of these. I'm not a fan of jay z but I like no i.d and this album is much better than a majority of jay z's works.

You are right that there are some talented young rappers. Joey badass is good, Kendrick is decent, except for his voice. Staples is ok. A lot of these guys are skilled rappers, but a lot of their music just doesn't hit me like the classics. I don't know if it's the watered down beats or what. I like mayhem

It is awful. This helps devolve the genre, not evolve. Boring beats with mushmouthed "lyrics". I can't see how anyone who likes hip hop would honestly cosign this trash.

99 times out of a hundred it doesn't work out. This type of music is just garbage and it's an insult to hip hop to even call this dude hip hop. He is just garbage. I just copped the new kool g rap and it's 11 songs of pure unfiltered hip hop. You won't hear cornball r & b singers or marble mouthed gibberish

Any chance we will get a review of the new Kool G Rap album that dropped today? The album is my favorite of the year in hip hop, and much more worthy of review than this cornball, lil yachty.

Exactly^^. I am a pretty moderate guy, I have some left leaning views on issues and some right leaning views on other issue. Av club is a very left slanted place, but the one thing this site has always done well is reviews. That is the only reason I come here. Less politics in reviews, the better!!

Lebron, Jon cena and Hader were all the best parts of that movie. Not because they are men, but because Schumer is awful.

There is a 26 minute video on YouTube of her stealing joke after joke. She is a mess.

The sad thing is that Amy has stolen Cook's jokes a few times and she managed to make them even less funny than Cook.

The dude who ran def jux and appears on Colbert also gets zero radio play and doesnt have Rihanna doing guest features. El-p is twice the rapper 99 percent of these new guys are. His style evolved not devolved and every album sincefuncrusher plus is a front to back classic. Rtj embodies what I want to hear in rap.

You and I have totally different views for sure. The last 20 years has been so bad for hip hop. The corporate mainstream bastardization of this music has almost ruined hip hop in my opinion. No era will ever top 87-94. Every coast was dropping heat. Everything is watered down now, production is boring, rappers

No doubt. All of these rappers today would be considered lower tier if they put their garbage out in the 90's. Hip hop has devolved in the last 20 years. I can listen to self destruction from bdp and it still is more powerful than anything Kendrick will do and it was made 30 years ago.

I have such a hard time getting into any of his music so I doubt I'll check his live performances, and I did see the snl performance and wasn't blown away by it in any way. I've been listening to hip hop for 35 years so I have literally heard everything that the music has to offer and I just can't get into a lot of

Not even on my list. I could name a ton before he even gets mentioned. Dudes voice is horrible.

Thanks for that, I figured that I would get hammered for my opinion of this guy and his music, and yes Drake is equally annoying. Being a 90's kid, I have a totally different outlook to hip hop. We used to clown on rappers who did pop song collabos. I mean odb with Mariah was an exception, but this dude is doing

I still don't get this dudes appeal. He obviously has bars but his voice or voices are so annoying, his beat selection is underwhelming, and the tough talk is so unbelievable, that it is cringeworthy when he does it. So many skippable tracks on this album, I couldn't give it more than a b-, and that is very

Too true. I knew the grammy's were a joke in the 80's, but when they snubbed Wu tang forever in favor of Puff Daddy's shitty biggie tribute album, I never watched the grammy's again. Every year their best rap album list is a freaking joke.
