This framing plays on a fallacy of its own, the false analogy. Presenting economy numbers is for the purpose of comparing one car against another, not for comparing one replacement scenario against another completely different replacement scenario.

If you were going too fast to avoid a stopped car, you were going too fast to avoid a pedestrian. I’m good with this one.

I’m normally on the ACAB side, but I’m really struggling to be displeased with what the cop did here.

Did you read the article?  He used the sign after he was unable to get any buyers from his online ads.

Have we considered just learning to live with lower birth rates until the world gets back down to the less crowded four-five billion again? Apart from anything else, it’d be better for the planet and for the workforce who would be able to get paid more again.

Do you know anything about the actual lawsuit or did you read a couple lines from this article and decide to start banging away on your keyboard?

And why was doggie running around where he could get hit by a car?

Nope, fuck that. If the nozzle reaches, I’m taking an available pump. Not gonna sit behind the 2 mooks that are waiting for the one pump that “matches” when there are 2-3 open ones that are completely cromulent for the task.

This driver wasn’t going anywhere, and the truck was surrounded by SWAT, presumably armed to the teeth. They seriously couldn’t come up with a better idea to get the driver out of the

Restaurants, you do what you need to do to make your business work, and I’m going going to order in a way that makes sense for me. If we don’t see eye to eye, that’s OK, I’ll just go somewhere else.

Interesting, raising your voice is causing a disturbance but crashing your 5,500 pound SUV police cruiser through the front wall is apparently not.
