Clearly, by my name, I am a "dude". A dude who has been affected by abortion and has been in many protests in an effort to bring about pro choice laws over the years. There is no confusion about LGBT issues in the Republic. Unfortunately our constitution is so aambiguously worded that a referendum is required to make marriage equality legal and totally unchallengeable. The referendum is next year and consistently around 78% are in favour. It will pass, there is no issue.
