I love cats, but I grew up surrounded by dogs. They are family, my brothers and sisters. They are people, not human people but still people. Everything I have learned about love, loyalty and true friendship I learned from the dogs I was lucky enough to grow up with. Dogs that I mourned when they passed, that I still

Fashion folks can be just plain weird. I am European and I think this is pretty high on the Derek Zoolander scale of farcical. . My wife is Irish, ethnically Indian, and works in fashion. Some really strange things do down in Italy in particular. She has some weird stories from the US too though.

European here too. This is in no way representative of us. You have some real strange ones in the US too.

Thereby cutting off any chance good gay role models for those kids who may be questioning their sexuality.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to be a part of the Scouting experience and we are disappointed in this decision because it will impact our ability to serve kids," Eh... except the gay kids right?

And the green thing! Yes. All. The. Time.

Absolutely agree. The whole I am Irish so I must hate the English thing is just hysterical. Bugs the crap out of me. The look on their face when I say "The countries are actually good friends these days and I have many friends and family from England. I spend quite a lot of time there" They just look confused like I

I am Irish and my experiences when I visit the US are just incredible and similar to what you mention. Most people know absolutely nothing apart from some nonsense. I have gotten questions like you wouldn't believe "
Do you have a pet Leprechaun?" I got this seriously posted question twice
"You must drink like crazy?

Thank you. It can be quite tiring making the distinction here time and again.

Imagine how us in Ireland feel. This is not a man who has learned from his ancestors history. He is an absolute disgrace, frankly.

I actually have used quite a broad brush on Irish Americans, it is true. I think my experiences on here have shown me the differences between us. They can be quite stark. Of course many Irish Americans are nothing like I described. Sometimes on here it doesn't feel like it.

Absolutely. There is nowhere on Earth without bigots, unfortunately. I just wanted to make clear the distinction between Irish and Irish-American, a distinction that often has to be made here. They are quite alien to each other in many important ways.
I don't think he is representative of anyone except, nutjob,

He is not Irish. He is Irish American. It is a very different thing. I can't imagine very many actual Irish people would ever agree with him, we find it hard enough to believe he actually exists.

Saw this on ITV tonight. Absolutely love it. It taps into that part of us that is instinctively human, something we often are distracted from. We are all brothers and sisters and everything in between. We are family. And we all deserve a fair shot in this life.

Yeah. me too. usually it's the other way round. Very confusing, at least we are not in Australia with their crazy censorship I suppose.

I am in Ireland and feel exactly the same. Absolute nonsense. I am not a child and I won't be paying more than the US does for a censored product.

What nonsense, the latest in a long line of similar acts (Jesus and Mo censorship) by Universities on this side of the Atlantic. The Flying Spaghetti Monster and Pastafarianism is absolutely brilliant. Any campus is much the better for its presence.

You have hit the nail on the head there, beautifully.

Janet Mock, on the other hand, who I had never heard of before is reasoned, articulate and absolutely beautiful. Good on her.

Morgan is a walking tabloid hack, signalled by the fact that nobody on this side of the Atlantic actually likes him. It was absolutely surreal when he got that show in the US. He is essentially clueless and it is an utter mystery to me how it is he manages to persist in big jobs, as he is awful at all of them.
