I am white European, my fiancé is from India. The idea that skin lightening products in Asia have anything to do with wanting to look more like white people is absolute nonsense frankly, akin to saying a white person who uses tanning products wants to look black. It's not all about the whites you know. :)

I think Mike Tyson may have chewed away a large section of Holyfields's brain, not just an ear. Ignorance posing as knowledge, hate it.

Nonsense. This is my last comment regarding this subject because you clearly don't understand and to do so any further would be a massive waste of time.. Not everything is to be taken so literally. I am in Ireland, phrases and words have a lot of non literally meaning that have come to represent something slightly

Yeah. I'm in Ireland, it's the same. It's really caught on in the US for some reason.

Most of us in Europe are uncircumcised, I certainly am and would have no wish ever to be. I don't really know why the US is so into it to be honest.

Aw. Hugs right back at you. Those Irish people are an absolute disgrace, never really hear them in public, just typical loud-mouths hiding behind the anonymity of the internet.

Ha. I know exactly what you mean. You express it better than I would too. I find the Irish American vs the actually Irish thing particularly annoying from my own personal experience on here. Some of the eejits commenting on here from time to time, shocking. :)

No apology. I completely agree to be honest. We do have our fair share of moaners but I do think as a rule we are a lot better than we used to be on the whole. I think if anything it should make this guy be more understanding of people struggles and not to just "get over it". Completely agree on the Irish American

Most people are over it here in fairness. The odd few are still stuck in the past alright but that is the case everywhere on this planet with a nasty history. Which means pretty much everywhere.

As an actual born and raised Irish guy who grew up in a part of the world that suffered because of a cruel history, he sounds like an idiot. Sure terrible things happened to people here in Irealnd for about a thousand years. But terrible things are happening to people right now, all over the world to varying degrees

As a fellow fine artist, this is undeniable fact. Also applicable to writers.

Excellent idea. I love this girl.

Thanks for the reply. I understand what you mean. Every sect of Christianity believes itself to be and to have the truth, as does every other religion. I have yet to see a convincing argument for any of them personally. And it seems that it is a mischievous god who make his/her/it's word so easily muddled.
I would say

Of course it makes sense. I don't believe in their gods or god but I do believe in having basic human decency and respect. I greet people accordingly. "Blessed Eid" is just a translation of Eid Mubarak. Honestly, I really do not understand why this is even an issue in the US. Language is often a social construct and

It wouldn't even burn, Viking style.

I'm half-German. She is clearly, from her tone and manner, absolutely regretful. Doesn't seem flippant to me at all.

I do appreciate that Irish-Americans have an important link to Ireland and I do have family in the US. But usually their perceptions of Ireland once they get there are so far off reality as to seem unreal. I have more in common with most other Europeans, politically and socially, than I have with just about any

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. It's late here, 4:30 a.m. I don't want anything both ways and I never say something without meaning it.
Should I care what the rest of the world thinks when I am greeting another person individually? I don't have the energy to do that frankly, even if I did see the point in it,

I agree completely. It is nonsense that you think you could possibly offend someone by giving them a greeting. I am an atheist. I say Merry Christmas, Eid Mubarak and a lot of other greetings and I genuinely mean them when I say them. I really do want that person to have a blessed Eid or a Happy Christmas. If someone

Of all the things in the world to get offended by. Someone saying Merry Christmas should be the least of them. It's a greeting with well wishes and sincere meaning. I am a European, liberal, atheist and I say it all the time here in London, as does everyone else. I don;t get the fuss in the Us, seems a bit strange.
