No my article was not particularly flattering towards Tesla. Musk did this attempt on a whim and that is simply the wrong way to go about things. Especially things with this level of risk.

The idea of having nuanced and varied opinions about Tesla is offensive, sir.

There were valid concerns about the way Tesla approached the ‘Ring record, and whatever that was at Laguna Seca. Along with the questionable ways Elon approaches, well, other things.

This is a highly solvable problem, and once it starts causing a problem the government will move to electricity taxes, or taxes on battery capacity, or some other way of measuring the eventual impact on the roads.
