Hold up. So your friend is worth $4B ($100M x 40)?

Haha, can’t compete with that. I went from Mitsubishi Evo, to Mazdaspeed 6, to Fusion plug in, to Tesla, to Fusion plug in. I’m someone who’s life progression is slowly bowing to city +corporate worker reality...

This is absolutely 100% where I was at.

I begrudge nobody who prefers the Tesla over the Fusion.... It’s a fantastic car to drive, minus the suspension being a little hard over road joists. I wasn’t set on selling it, but when I could get out with no depreciation loss after a year I figured I’d take it as a win and move into something more low budget.

All good considerations. I basically did the same thing you’re doing... I really liked the Clarity specs, but for me it came down to styling. I tried the Ioniq but it was too small. I couldn’t find a good deal on the Hyundai Sonata plug in, used or at the dealer. I really wanted the Outlander plug in but the peddle

Starred for the photo. However can you explain what you mean by ‘they are too impractical because of the hybrid part’?

PPS - I had a 2014 Fusion Energi for 4 years, and which i sold for $12 or $13k. My 2019 is nicer, with a larger battery, so I’m banking on $14k after 4 years, or ~ $12k depreciation. $3k per year is not bad, and I’m saving $100 per month in gas costs compared to a 25 mpg sedan. So that takes it down to around $2k per

I am the proud, unabashed owner of a 2019 Ford Fusion Energi titanium... though maybe a little less so after the article and comments, lol.

I’m confused about the “sometime” in quotes. Was she sometimes female, a mechanical engineer, or your girlfriend? or some combination?

99% of people are not driving over 150 miles a day. For the gas cost savings it’ll be cheaper to rent an SUV for the few trips a year where it’s actually needed (or more likely folks will just use their spouse’s or a friend’s car). This seems about the worst justification for pooh poohing electric cars.

As a heads up, the WLTP range estimates are about 12% more generous than EPA. Still puts the top end as 300 mile car, which is great, but pricing for that variant isn’t given.

Damnit now I want to play Frogger

Electrical engineer here, there is a right answer. The answer is that this problem is dumb, and no one who regularly deals in math would write it this way.

Man, do NOT listen to Two Door Cinema Club

Yes but what if they also want to sell that truck?

Elon’s hubris is fun to make fun of... And 100% deserved. But the discussion is not binary. I.e. either autonomous cars have 0 accidents ever and are good, or sometimes have accidents at a rate better than humans and nonetheless are bad. The truth is risk and aggressiveness are dials that will need be tweaked in an

Durant’s reaction was even better than LeBron’s.

I’m currently getting 230 W/mi average in my Model 3 over 8 months: summer, fall, winter. Summer and winter way worse for power usage, averaging closer to 250-260 W/mi due to heating/cooling. Spring with mild weather was closer to 190-200 W/mi. My personal calcs are about the same as his for energy savings. Was

As a Blazer fan (who fucking loved that game), I thought it looked like a flagrant foul live, especially given the context of a bunch of spoiled all stars going after a hard playing rooking, but would be overturned on review.
