Thanks for checking in, nostalgia guy!!

Chris Paul? I usually blame Chris Paul.

I’m mired in the greys, but here it goes: the NBA is better with less fouls and less stoppages. Period.

James Harden complaining the game should be called “the way it’s supposed to be called” is like Wil E. Coyote complaining to Acme customer service after the Roadrunner escapes into the cliff painting. It’s like, yeah, man, that wasn’t supposed to happen, but to be fair you were legit trying to smash and eat that bird.

If officials do a bad job applying a rule that nobody likes towards a player that abuses the hell out of it, should we be upset?

While shooting a potential game-tying three, Harden tried to get a close-out foul called against Draymond Green and jumped forward about four feet so that he would land against his defender.

I’ll never understand this kind of thing. Aldridge has been in the league 13 years and is a seven-time all star, but doesn’t know to foul down four with 30 seconds left unless he hears his coach tell him to? It doesn’t sound like a JR Amith situation where he didn’t know the score or time remaining, he just didn’t

I’m surprised the Spurs couldn’t hear me yelling at them to foul through my TV. I was certainly doing it loudly enough.

They are testing and developing the tech internally. No matter how much testing you do in a closed environment, two thing are true.

Deploying a full self-driving car isn’t going to be an on/off switch. There has to be a ladder to climb. There’s a good chance many people who’ll get into their first fully autonomous vehicle are going to freak out, whereas someone already accustomed to having the machine take car of highway cruising and maybe parking

Mario Kart.

You need to be terrified of me, too, bitch.

I’m a Rockets fan. I’ve never had a scenario in my life as a sports fan where I love a coach as much as I love Pop, respect a team’s incredible two-decade-plus run of consistent greatness as much as I do, and hate the fucking team as much as I do. Pop is better at the thing he does than just about anyone alive is

This. Sports writing has always been my dream job until I met some writers who informed that as great as the job can get it is never as good as you hoped it would be and all have pointed out that the pay absolutely sucks whereas I’ve tended bar and the money was incredible even on a slow day.

You are not your job.

Wow! Neat stuff, this is inspiring to me as someone who does not feel secure/fulfilled by their job.

The glut of post-apocalyptic fiction in pop culture at large and video games in particular has led to a set of beliefs and tropes that have settled into the bones of these stories: A moral nihilism that posits compassion as weakness, that the ends justify the means, that there is a thin line protecting us from them

Doesn’t look any better............

I’m not a steering wheel!!!1!
