The cool thing with this and the Saturn twin was the idea of getting 4/5 of a Vette for 3/5 the price. It was faster and grippier (and worse built and less useful) than a Miata. It depends on the type of supercharger. Most aftermarket add one use a centrifugal supercharger that is like half a turbo with a belt to drive it. These build boost gradually, so the stresses at the launch where the stresses are highest are lower.

But the cobblestone streets will be too narrow for exciting passes.
